I think that game is Sunday afternoon.  I say that because if the Broncos win it makes the Miami/Jets and Bengals/Steelers games moot.

That’s true, though I’m not sure if the networks will care, as they can focus on the AFC North in the early slot and NFC South in the late. I’m also not sure which game they’d move to Saturday late otherwise. Giants at Eagles to see if Barkley gets the record against his old team? They’re not on contention for the one seed.

those are your Saturday games with the most intrigue because if Denver plays before them no one will care to watch those games if they win

Though if the Steelers lose, that kills any drama when it comes to the third seed. It really needs to be played alongside Browns-Ravens.

I don’t think that’s as big of a story. A team being in or out of the playoffs is more intriguing and has more people watching Saturday then whether or not a team is a 3, 5 or 6 seed

I hate night games anyway at least on Sunday and Monday as I get up at 5 but to add a comment, it’s going to be a the games that have meaning.

Bengals/Steelers

Chiefs/Broncos

Rams/Hawks

Vikings/Lions

These are all potential for the 4 pm slots, and the Primetime games.  The schedulers know the Bills will only play backups minus maybe the first series for Josh.

Maybe. Rams-Seahawks will be a primetime game, but only if the Commanders and 49ers both lose this week. If one of them wins, it opens up a slot there too. The AFC play off path may make most sense. If the Bengals win they can promote Denver on Sunday. If the Steelers (and Jets) win, promote Baltimore

The bengals, Miami and Denver all better be playing sunday at the same time.

It will be ridiculous if any of them plays on saturday because they will essentially be getting an extra day to prepare for the playoff game.

If the 7 seed gets an extra day to prepare over the 2 seed something is really wrong so all those teams better be playing sunday or the bills better be moved to saturday in one of the slots.

Guess the argument will be the Bills can bench their starters should they want to, whilst the Bengals/Dolphins/Broncos will have to play theirs.

That’s actually a fair point but the NFL won’t care. They want ratings and money. Also if Denver wins on Sunday, like they should against KC backups, it won’t matter.

Its not about the players.  Say the broncos get the noon saturday slot.  They are at home.  If they win the Broncos coaching staff will be getting to work on buffalo by 7 pm saturday night.

Meanwhile the Bills have a road game on sunday and will be a day behind Denver.

Its a fundamental issue here.  The potential 7 seeds can absolutely not be rewarded this way.

and one more thing, this starters are not playing thing gets overblown.  You can only sit so many guys.  Some of the O-line and Dline will play all game, our running backs will have to play some, corners we need will play.

This is a fundamental issue and its absurd to reward the lesser teams with an extra day of rest.  If anything they should put the bills-pats and eagles - giants on saturday and give them the extra day since they actually earned it.

Well if Denver plays on sunday along with Cincy and Miami then there is no issue.

They simply can absolutely not have an extra day to prepare over the damn 2 seed.

Eagles will get 1pm game to see if Saquon can break record

Denver KC gets a 4:25 kick.

By then it will be known if Miami or Cinci has lost. If they both win then you get another playoff deciding game.

Has to be Lions and Vikings Sunday Night as the division and first seed in the playoffs will be up for grab.

Nobody outside of Philly cares about the rushing record.

I agree with you because I’m a bills fan and am all for fairness and it’s ludicrous to give a potential 7 seed the advantage but the NFL won’t care.

Hope I am wrong

I honestly do not know the history here because they have only been playing saturday games the final week for a few years.

Its anti competition if this happens though and the Bills should raise hell with the league if it occurs.

sorry, but nobody at the league office is going to care and honestly fans aren’t gonna care that much either.

Bills staff is basically going to start getting ready for the Broncos tomorrow.

no way Denver and Chiefs is Saturday anyways.

there are only two games on Saturday, so putting Denver and Chiefs on Saturday could spoil the meaning of one of the other two games for dolphins and Bengals.

I expect the two Saturday games to be  Bengals vs. Steelers and Dolphins vs. Jets. In that order.

Bengals have to play first because Dolphins winning would eliminate the Bengals.

Chiefs vs Broncos will be Sunday late afternoon game.

I would guess that the bengals, Denver and dolphins game would be on at the same time,  and all on Sunday at 4:30. (Could be wrong )

But Historically the nfl has always put the games on the same time if a team needs a certain team to lose to get in.

Since when has the NFL been fair? All they care about is ratings. Giants-Eagles could get moved for Barkley's record attempt but I can't see Bills-Patriots being given the same courtesy. Who would want to watch it?

Someone said there is a scenario where the Seahawks vs Rams could actually matter. If that’s the case then maybe they’ll make that one of the Saturday games. If they do thahert maybe that means Cincy and Miami play at 1pm Sunday and Denver 4pm Sunday. Here’s hoping

for like 60 years everybody played the final week on sunday to ensure that no teams had extra time.  No thursday, saturday or monday games.

that kept a level playing field for this exact situation.
