Chandler#81 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Holiday Greetings, all! My son found an autographed Allen jersey under the tree -with a warning; misbehave and it hangs over my bar!😉 https://www.ebay.com/itm/365301171312?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=r0esOptyRve&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=QVGDXc6mQ5O&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Our last game this calendar year?? Where did the time go? It’s obviously true time flies when you’re having fun. This season rates very high in team history for fun seasons. Especially so, when the football world watch Bass miss a makable FG to lose the Divisional Round to the eventual SB Champs, followed quickly by Hyde, Poyer, Morse, & Tre White getting released. Barely caught our breath when we chose to let Davis walk and Diggs being granted a trade request. Everyone -including many of us here- bailed on the team. Yes, we were hopeful of our Draft haul as many needed positions were selected but it’s always a crap shoot, notably picking so late in the rounds. When the regular season began, we all needed programs to find out who these guys are and their uniform numbers. Other than the rookies, castoff’s offs, has beens and never were’s dominated the roster. Remember? Fast forward to today. We’ve beaten 4 out of 5 NFC opponents, are 8-2 in the AFC with today & next week finishing the campaign against division mice and clinched our 5th straight AFCEast title for the 1st time in team history! If this isn’t fun, please explain to me what is! As for today's ‘walk through’ game vs the Jets, I have no idea what will unfold 🤷♂️. The Jets have numerous very good to great players despite their ridiculously under performing 4-11 record. With Allen admitting we’re holding back new wrinkles for the playoffs, continuing with vanilla game plans are anticipated. Assuredly, it will be a very different Jets team we’ll face next season as many players, coaches and FO personnel will end their Jets career one week from today -most likely including QB A-Rod. It’s reasonable to believe they’ll also be very ca$h strapped as a result. With KC wrapping up the 1 seed, we only need 1 more win to clinch the 2 seed. Notching this goal, will allow for rest next week for all key players. It’s a strange and unfamiliar situation we find ourselves in as we waltzed nonchalantly vs the Pats* and needed THREE 2nd half turnovers to escape with a 3 point win. When all we care about is staying healthy for the remaining 120 minutes of this season, is this a detriment to our true goals? With Lamar’s performance on Christmas, the MVP race is now razor thin, yet we don’t want to expose Josh to further injury. Again, very unfamiliar territory for our title-snakebit franchise. (Yes, my lifelong Bills PTSD is flaring up🤷♂️) I had hoped to see Hyde activated and get reps with Bishop while sitting Taylor Rapp to aid his recovery but it appears he’s good to go for today. A 2 week crash course playing Safety with Micah would do wonders for our 2nd round draft pick! He improves with each passing week and has been dubbed the Future at Safety. We re-signed journeyman LB Nicolas Morrow this week, but there aren’t any starting capable DLinemen out there to help bolster our weakest position. It will continue to be a struggle for the rest of this campaign.. On an aside, we all know the AFC has the best QBs. Guess what? They’re all going to the playoffs! Multiple MVPs and a couple who should be! No one has a clear cut advantage so this shaping up as an INCREDIBLE playoff year! I’m personally thankful we’re relatively healthy and we’ll need to stay this way, cuz it’s gonna be a WAR! Sheer carnage til 1 team remains standing. WE GOT THIS! GO BILLS! Sir Vic chimes in Is Josh Allen the MVP? https://www.facebook.com/share/r/15iV396VhZ/ 8 7 3 Quote

oldmanfan Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field! 12 1 7 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I want a win, no new injuries and to watch Aaron Rodgers pick himself up off the turf a lot today. In addition to possibly throwing his 500th TD pass, he's being sacked twice more away from the record of most sacks taken by a QB all time. I say we help him set that record 6 1 Quote
CSBill Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 HAPPY GAME-DAY TBD!!!! One goal: to wrap it up today and rest next week. GO BILLS! 1 1 Quote
frostbitmic Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Lets clinch that #2 seed and have Mike White and the backups beat the patriots next week. I'd love to see more Dorian Williams blitzes, he was hurrying Maye something fierce with them last week vs the patriots. Quote

CSBill Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Traveling this morning, wearing my Bills sweatshirt: just go a “Go Bills,” from the pilot. I’m in good hands. 5 3 Quote
fasteddie Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Fighting the rhinovirus, I have no voice. Still going to the game. I hope the Bills are up by 30 and I can go home early. Those 3 hour drives aren't much fun when you are sick. Go Bills! 1 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I watched the last bills jets game last night. I had forgotten that Oliver and Cook were out. Miller was suspended, not that it matters he doesn't make any plays anyway and shakir and johnson were returning from injury. MVS was starting outside in the game. Now they have Cooper also. Rapp and Ray Davis were fantastic in the first matchup. The game was a mess and it was easily the most poorly played game of the season for the bills. It capped off three straight road games. DJ Reed got hurt and missed all of the 4th quarter and they just threw at his replacement echols. I guess sauce isn't playing today. Most importantly the Bills just lined up and ran all over them. I would expect the same today. On the flip side the jets were pretty good on offense and made a number of big plays. Tyron smith and fashanu are out for the year but the jets interior line is really good. John simpson was great in the first matchup and I would imagine they run inside behind him today. The jets pass protection issues seem to be on rodgers a lot of the time. They didn't have adams yet so the bills will have their hands full defending adams and wilson today. Rodgers want's to eclipse the 500 td mark and wilson has spent the last two weeks about not getting targets. Going into the first matchup wilson was one of the most highly targeted wr in the league. hopefully buffalo gets the ball first and just runs up and down the field and takes a lead. it would be great today if the Bills are 35+ in t.o.p. and rush for like 225+ yards and score about 28 points. I don't think the jets have the integrity to hang in there and keep playing hard if they are getting bullied up front. Hopefully the jets do not get the ball first and make a bunch of big plays and take a lead. I would like to see Allen not have to be superman today and not get hit. These teams don't like each other and the game will be physical but I am hoping that is a positive for buffalo because it might give them that extra focus and intensity this week that seemed to be missing last week. 1 Quote
atlbillsfan1975 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 (edited) If the D can hold the Jets to less than 7 on their first two possessions, it goes a long way in how the game turns out and our ability as fans to enjoy a less stressful 4th quarter. Game script and complimentary football are key for how the D is built. Edited December 29, 2024 by atlbillsfan1975 1 Quote
zow2 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 listening to some of the sports shows this morning while driving around they all picked the Bills in a romp. I hope Buffalo can prove them right. Quote
playaction Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Big game, division rival, some pride at stake over there, no letting down, big game. Go Bills! Quote
Scott7975 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Not sure how it is at the stadium but I live in Lancaster not too far from there. It just started downpouring rain a couple minutes ago here. Quote
