No but the OP's point was we should have been 16-1 along with KC and since we beat them we'd have had the #1 seed. So my question was if both Bills and KC, has that ever happened before where 2 teams in same season finished with one loss. I'll accept in the "old days" 2 teams finish 13-1 or more recent 15-1, Hell I'll even go way back ad say 11-1. Has any of these scenarios ever happened? 1 Quote

No, best finish was 14-2 and 13-3 with Jags and Titans unless someone prior to NFL merger. 1 Quote

Joe Ferguson Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Josh Allen needs to be in God/Beast mode to overcome the opposing teams, refs, McDermott and his dog turd and very expensive defense. 1 Quote
dma0034 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I think about how unlucky the Bills have gotten with the removal of the 2nd seed bye. I believe this is the 4th time the Bills have gotten the 2nd seed after they removed it (which is ironic because the Chiefs went to the Superbowl the year before as the 2 seed with a bye). I mean I like to blame McDermott as much as the next person. I'm already pre-planning my yearly "Fire McDermott for his crap Defense" for when they let up 35+ to the Ravens or Chiefs. That said: he doesn't call the Offense so you really can't blame him for the Texans game and while he had some questionable decisions in the Rams game ultimately the Rams were just hot that game (as seen by them scoring the same amount of points in that game as their next 3 combined). I don't think if the Bills went 15-2 with a win over the Rams that they'd get the 1 seed. In my opinion it's going to have to be the Bills or Ravens to knock out the Chiefs and ofcourse they'll have to play in the 2nd round. 2 Quote

If buffalo wins 14 games, it will be the first time in 20 years a 14 win team didn't get the one seed. They got it done. Sometimes you gotta just tip your cap. We'll see them in arrowhead. Or an upset of the Chiefs by the Steelers or Ravens can still make the road to New Orleans go through Orchard Park. In the Playoffs, anything is possible. Go Bills !!! Curious to know - Are the Bills only team to have lost back to back playoffs at home ? Quote

Bills did their part. That or give credit to McD for beating both teams in the SB last year in SF, KC, and the hottest offense in football this year in Detroit. Oh, that’s right, that doesn’t gel with the hate McD narrative. Let’s go back to the days where we fire a coach every two years and remain in the desert of a playoff drought for 17 years. Yeah, those years were fun. 1 Quote
May Day 10 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 The Rams game they were losing either way. The Rams were just going to pass it to nakua for a 1st down, whether they declined the holding penalty, accepted the penalty, or accepted 2 penalties. Who knows what would have happened in the Texans game if they ran. Maybe it was a coin flip. There were close games the bills won too Quote

frostbitmic Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 We beat Detroit and KC ... Is it the Bills fault the Chiefs have the power of Taylor Swift behind them ? Between Patrick from State Farm and and the power of Taylor, the Lombardi has already been etched. If he costs us the two seed you might have something. Quote
