PonyBoy Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Some abstract football talk to start the day. Love or hate the Steelers their tradition of success has to be unparralled! Examples: Since 1969 they have only had 3 coaches The Bills 15 coaches since 1969 The Steelers have had only 7 losing seasons since 1972 The Bills 24 Not even going to mention Superbowls. Another interesting thing I thought of as I didn't sleep well last night. The AFC currently has probably 4 locks for the Hall of Fame, 5 if you count Aaron Rodgers 1. KC 2. Buffalo 3. Baltimore 4. Cincinnati ( probable) 5. Aaron Rodgers technically in the AFC. 6. Justin Hebert is a possible candidate too being that he can pass Payton Manning for fastest to 20,000 yards today. Tough Conference!! The NFC has proabably only one likely, Matt Stafford. He's already top 10 all time in passing yards and TD's, 29th in QBR, ahead of many current Hall of Famers. I don't want to hear about Love or Hurts, long way to go. Actually Kirk Cousins might have the best case among them when it's all over. Marino, Kelly and Elway were so strong, but the AFC has never had a more talented group. Keep that in mind how much of a gauntlet Buffalo has to go through. Sorry for a couple of Bills references, my post was really mostly about the Steelers greatness and the AFC top QB's. Enjoy the games, Happy New Year! 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I am of the belief that the chargers win out and are the 5 seed. Then they beat Houston. then we get a nauseating week where Jim harbaugh gets treated like he is belichick before they get blown out in KC. Quote
BRH Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Was that not a fumble by Maye or did he step out of bounds when he got hit? Also a hit to the head that wasn’t called. Quote
MikePJ76 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Maye just took a helmet to helmet hit on the sideline in front of the official and they just missed it. Might have been forearm to helmet but that makes no difference. he looked like he was knocked out for a second. Must be a concussion Quote
stosh64 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Maye out of blue tent and back to the locker room. Doesn't look good. Quote

I'm always entertained when Steratore is asked to explain why a flag wasn't thrown and he flannels the excuse (as long as it isn't against the Bills). 2 Quote

It was a blow to the head and now the qb has a concussion which is exactly why they put the rule in. its comical listening to the officials in the tv booth. Quote
H2o Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Well, Maye is probably done for the year now. When they take your helmet and then to the locker room, guys don't typically play the next week either. Quote

Basically says a lot of which makes no sense whatsoever to fill time. (Just checked what the Google definition is: use bland fluent talk to avoid addressing a difficult subject or situation directly.) 1 1 Quote

He miss time from a concussion earlier in the year so you may be right. Quote
UKBillFan Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Confirmed Maye is returning to the game. Quote
BRH Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Look at all those empty seats in the upper deck at Gillette. Biggest fair-weather fanbase in in the AFCE. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Jeez Maye and Christian Gonzalez already head knocked hard in this game. Herbert reminding everyone why you don't want to play him in the 1st round. Quote
wppete Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 (edited) #15 Mapo for NE is a player noticed him when he played against the Bills. He was all over the field and he’s doing it again against the Chargers Edited December 28, 2024 by wppete Quote
