Bring back Jim Schwartz.  Seems like many fans think he was great, I bet he’d come back with Allen at qb and the D being the reason we aren’t SB champs

It's not that easy. Players aren't just plug and play

If Schwartz came back, it would mean a complete gut of the defense and bringing in players that fit his Wide 9 scheme. That could take a couple of seasons. And that's even if McDermott allowed him to run it over the defense we currently run. Just having Jim on the sidelines isn't a fix all

Would love to have Schwartz back, but not sure he would come back since he was snubbed for Rex for HC

Every team but the Lions have snubbed Schwartz for HC--and that was years ago....and his Defenses were atrocious (the shot up to #3 in least points allowed 1 year after he was fired---with human mannequin Jim Caldwell.  In Cleveland, the Defense is awful.  Eagles D now is better than when Schwartz was there.

He had a cup of coffee in Buffalo.  They were top 5 (4th) in points allowed--something a variety of Bills DC's have replicated in 4 of the last 6 seasons, including 3 seasons at #1 or #2.

The Jim Schwartz myth was born in Buffalo I guess....
