No retired player on the reserve/retired list can come back after week 12 because they were still under contract when they retired.  For instance, if the Rams wanted Donald back right now they would have to cut him because he's on the reserve/retired list and hope he clears waivers.  Bridgewater wasn't under contract with a team when he retired.

well, he's not.  so it's not a point worth making--he's not leaving/getting "QB money" that's "on the table". 

 

that's like saying, "had he not retired, he would be making millions per year"
