If Goff goes down it won’t matter. Bridgewater won’t lead that team to a Super Bowl.

Depends on the situation...if Goff goes down in the 2nd half, Bridgewater could do enough to win a game for them so they can advance whereas Hooker might not.

But if Golf goes down for multiple games then ya, they are toast

Nice pickup by the Lions before the playoffs...

I'm sure they want someone a little better than a rookie QB if Goff goes down.

Bridgewater, a guy who hasn't played meaningful football in 2-3 years?......If Goff goes down, their season is over.

I mean that’s kinda obvious. But i think it’s more because of their injuries and the fact he really hasn’t played football in a year. I think if he was on a healthy Lions team, he could fill in for a couple of games and get a few wins.

If Detroit's defense wasn't so ravaged by injuries, and if Montgomery was still playing, then a cipher like Bridgewater could indeed win a playoff game against one of the weaker teams in the NFC playoffs.  I'm thinking that the injuries are going to open the door for the Vikings to steal the division and push the Lions into a wildcard slot, probably the 5 seed, where they'll play the 4 seed, either the NFCW or NFCS pretender.  That's a game the fully-healthy Lions could romp through if they still had all their players, even without Goff.

A few years ago the Raiders put everything together and had a great record preparing for the playoffs.  Then Carr (their QB) broke an arm or leg, and that was that.  They washed out in the first round, then fell apart.  I don't think the same thing will happen to Detroit going forward, but I really feel sorry for the team and the city that they had so much working for them before the injuries hit.

I mean the Chiefs won a playoff game with Chad Henne playing most of the 2nd half.

Chad Henne.

32 is very young to retire especially with the qb money that's on the table

there's no more QB money on the table for Teddy. He's essentially getting a bit more than league minimum for 2 games.

League Minimum in a season for a vet with his number of years in the league is essentially 10 years salary for people with a 100K job

I am pretty sure this guaranteed under $200 Grand  because when it's signed

He doesn't have enough games to make a million dollars

That's more than most people make in a year.

I am talking about it he played a whole season. But even so, 134K for 2 weeks of work is pretty great if you can get it.
