If Lamar start running in the playoffs,,,and I mean taking off and running whenever the field opens up for him,  our defense or any defense is in trouble.

I don’t think this is our Super Bowl year

however, I do think it’s coming

I think it is if we either get past the Ravens or somehow by some miracle end up not having to face them at all. If we stay healthy, I truly don’t think anyone else can beat us.

KC gonna lose round 1. MARK IT ZERO!

I do have the feeling something weird will happen to them in round 1.  All those close wins and they will be on the receiving end of a heartbreaker.

I still don’t see the chiefs making it to the AFC championship.   So the Bills will have a great chance of hosting the Championship game at home once they lock up the 2 seed.

Chiefs beat ravens , bengals , broncos , Steelers , Texans  this season and look pretty solid late as of late  .  Not sure why they wouldn’t have an easy path  to the championship .

I hope you're right. But i don't think it's a superbowl roster. Feels like year 1 in building our SB roster. It will happen.

If all plays out like I think:

Round 1:

Steelers (5) at Texans (4)

Chargers (6) at Ravens (3)

Broncos (7) at Bills (2)

Can the Chargers beat Baltimore in Round 1?

I think they can.

And they absolutely can win against the refs and Chiefs in KC.  KC would have to beat them a 3rd time.  Can happen sure.  But I like that a whole lot better then the Texans at KC.

I think that’s the best chance we got at getting the AFCCG at home.

And that’s how we avoid Derek Henry.

So that best case path is

Broncos

Texans

Chargers

Worst case is

Broncos

Ravens

at Chiefs

I keep trying to convince myself that our D is better than it has looked over the past month+.

Maybe they are?   I look at the personnel, when healthy, and it really should be a more solid defense than what we've seen.  We don't have a star pass rusher or anything - but the line is decent, the LB's are very good, the secondary is good.  We have a couple of what might be considered weak links, but overall, it's not some huge talent deficiency.

Here's hoping.  Stating the obvious, but defense is going to be so key.  We just can't hope the offense can be lights out in every game.

Go back and watch the TNF game week 2 against Miami and you'll instantly feel better about our Defense :)

Chiefs divisional round opponent won’t be a serious challenge.

Wish I thought so but nope. I don't see them getting past the Ravens. Then Ravens will get handled easily by KC.

Yeah, I agree. I'm worried for whoever makes the 7-seed. We are not playing well lately and we'll get exposed in the 1st round of the playoffs. No way we even make it to the Super Bowl.

I feel like this board has overrated Denver since Manning. I remember when they were a playoff pick darling right before Russ decided to only cook hot dogs and ramen and they ended up being one of the worst teams in the AFC. They really don’t have a good run game, ranked bottom third now past few weeks. Javonte Williams took a step back and Estime is meh. Take away Bo’s scrambles and they’re bottom of the barrel in that category.

All that to say yes. KC kind of has the injury bug this year and I would not be shocked by an earlier than normal dismissal.

The ravens changed their defense, they're a lot harder to be beaten and number 1 in pass defense now. The chiefs bring a close to the LOS and matchup against the poorer nickel/LBs of the ravens.

The ravens would be competitive there.

I don't know why this year would be different than upcoming years.  We're 12-3 and are scoring 30+ a game.  I think our D has injuries and we've played good offenses lately, which makes the defense look worse than it actually is.  It has been a top 10 unit most of the year.  I think it will rise to the occasion in the playoffs and be pretty good to where if we score 27 - 30 points we'll win.

I agree DC.  I think Steelers have a D to slow King Henry, but we don’t.

Do you think the playoff teams have bad offenses?
