Rather take the loss and sack INTs and completion percentage are stats that come up in contract negotiations. Sacks taken do not as that’s seen as a OL stat. Quote

It took Josh Allen's worst day for them to win with a walk off 59 yarder. The Lions tried to give them the game with 5 picks and they still lost. Their wins: Colts x2, Bears, Jags x2, Cowboys, Dolphins, Patriots and sadly the Bills The nfl is weird. i remember in 2008 Arizona got beat by New England like 49-3 or something then a few weeks later they were in the Super Bowl. stroud was a notch below terrible today. Houston already won the division and the Ravens are now leading the AFC North. Steelers are in the playoffs and Broncos and Chargers will be in with a win in either of their last 2 games. 1 Quote
Punch Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I'm so sick of the Lamar discourse from Ravens fans and all the analysts trying to be clever. He isn't being sleighted if a case has been made for Josh Allen. Lamar is having a great season, but it's reasonable to suggest there's been some stat padding against inferior opponents and also late in games where they've trailed. The MVP case can easily be made for either. Quote

My take was despite their ranking and the stats you shared, as a defense Houston was nowhere near as dominant as their numbers. I just was never impressed with what I saw on both sides of the football - but in particular their defense. This was reinforced in games against Kansas City and Baltimore where they flat out get their butts kicked. I just don’t think their coaching is very good. Ryans comes off very well in interview and seems to be a great leader but as a head coach he’s not very good. Then there is Bobby F’N Slowik who some fans are clamoring for as HC last season. He flat out sucked this season. Tonight’s failure at the goal line was a great example tonight. Overall Houston is a fringe playoff team. Not very good and yes overrated. A far cry from the contenders many hyped them as They played as well as anybody in football the first half of the year. They aren’t playing well right now. I don’t think they played well based on luck or being overrated so no, I don’t agree with you. They’re extremely physical and can destroy QB play when they’re on. But sure, it certainly didn’t look that way the last few weeks and I never believed they were that big of a threat in the playoffs. But that was more based on Stroud. Quote
DapperCam Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) I think a lot of these late season duds are teams basically having nothing to play for. What did the Texans really have to play for today? Pretty much nothing. Edited 11 hours ago by DapperCam 1 Quote

Sure, the coaches will have the starters out there trying to win, but some of these guys sure seem like they are just going through the motions waiting for the important games to start (or their trip to Cancun on non-playoff teams). However the Steelers could end up as the 6 seed and upset the Ravens which would bring the Texans to Buffalo if both of them won. I said likely, the way that the last balt/pitt game went and then how both teams today looked doesn't give me much home that the steelers are the same as they have been. A really good defense that falls apart at the end of the season/playoff time. Quote

But seeing the same thing you have already seen 6 times will. When someone's most memorable play in the playoffs is a 101 yard pick 6, that says all you need to know about how they perform once they get there. Edited 11 hours ago by Big Turk Quote
