i remember in 2008 Arizona got beat by New England like 49-3 or something then a few weeks later they were in the Super Bowl.

Nothing really. Houston already won the division and the Ravens are now leading the AFC North.

 

Steelers are in the playoffs and Broncos and Chargers will be in with a win in either of their last 2 games.

I'm so sick of the Lamar discourse from Ravens fans and all the analysts trying to be clever. He isn't being sleighted if a case has been made for Josh Allen. Lamar is having a great season, but it's reasonable to suggest there's been some stat padding against inferior opponents and also late in games where they've trailed. The MVP case can easily be made for either.

Overall Houston is a fringe playoff team.  Not very good and yes overrated.  A far cry from the contenders many hyped them as

 

They played as well as anybody in football the first half of the year. They aren’t playing well right now. I don’t think they played well based on luck or being overrated so no, I don’t agree with you. They’re extremely physical and can destroy QB play when they’re on. But sure, it certainly didn’t look that way the last few weeks and I never believed they were that big of a threat in the playoffs. But that was more based on Stroud.

I think players care about 3rd vs 4th seed a lot less than we think.

 

Sure, the coaches will have the starters out there trying to win, but some of these guys sure seem like they are just going through the motions waiting for the important games to start (or their trip to Cancun on non-playoff teams).

I said likely,  the way that the last balt/pitt game went and then how both teams today looked doesn't give me much home that the steelers are the same as they have been.  A really good defense that falls apart at the end of the season/playoff time.

When someone's most memorable play in the playoffs is a 101 yard pick 6, that says all you need to know about how they perform once they get there.
