If Ravens lose today. They rest for 2 weeks.

i get, but dislike, this idea.  coming in cold wild card weekend.  play at least 1/2 vs Jets then rest 18.

In the end, losses to Houston & Rams came back to haunt this team. Specifically, the Texans game.

yep, same story year in and out with losses to demonstrably inferior teams costing the Bills the 1 seed

So game results or playoff seeding not going the way we were hoping.

I'm OK with KC just getting their #1 seed over with this week, but the Ravens win takes away the primary benefit of that.

Depends. Do you want the 2 seed and potentially home field advantage of KC get knocked out of the divisionals?

If you do, then they play against the Jets.

We’re going to have to play mostly starters Sunday, as then we lock up the #2 seed, and then against the Cheats, it should just depend on each players heath.  McD probably still wants to keep them in a rhythm so I wouldn’t be surprised if Allen is benched by the 2nd quarter in the last game.

Losing close games because of bizarre coaching decisions isn't uncharacteristic of us. It's defined our team the past couple years.

cost us the 1 seed and playoff games past few years

Someone said our playoff road is looking to be Bengals, Ravens, @ Chiefs and as scary as that looks it would knock every chip off the shoulder along the way and make the SB even more satisfying.

Bengals won't make the playoffs. The broncos will.

With win today we can no longer win the 1 seed.  2 game lead over ravens, do we rest guys now or win this week and rest guys up for wild card weekend?

Ya hate to see it, but it Is what it Is.  Can't say that Pittsburgh put up enough of a fight.

Imo there is no second round if we draw Bengals in the wildcard

We need to get out of the 2seed at all costs

So if Chargers and Bronco's win this week, Bengals are out.  Even assuming Bengals beat Denver, they still need ot be Pitt following week and Bronco;s have to lose to KC who will likely be resting many.  Plus I think Indy needs to lose one of last two and they play Giants, and Jax, if they win both they'd make it over Bengals

On the other hand dropping out of 2 seed could likely mean a 2nd round game at Balt.

I'd add too if Bengals are such a scary match, KC may feel the same so little incentive for them to beat Denver week 18.  Let Denver win and knock out Bengals.

I hope they get the Chargers in the divisional round.

Division games can be weird.

If we do face them, I'll both welcome it, and dread it.  Another playoff exit against them & I'll need a better therapist.

At this point… I’m ready to get to the playoffs!  It doesn’t matter who we draw. I don’t think Josh will be denied… he’s just playing too good.  It’s all going to come down to the defense.  Keep whoever we play under 30 and Josh will do the rest.

Next week against the Jets should be their playoff rehearsal. Practice hard, get a good game plan, execute well, and destroy the Jets. Then you can rest in week 18 ready for the playoffs.

A 2 week rest is too much.  Rest everyone v the jest.  Then play starters first half of Pats

We have to actually win this week to lock up the #2 spot.

So you were expecting us to lose 1 game all season?

15-1 is darn impressive.  Who beat them again?

Some team with a bunch of fans who want to fire the coach.

Chill people. Regardless of where we stand in a few months.

So just wondering, if we looked back through your posts before the season, did you predict the Bills going 16-1?

Baltimore has more talent than us.  Houston maybe was better back then before injuries.   LA is the only bad loss imo.

Not too many teams put up undefeated seasons in the NFL, in case you didn’t know it. Thats what it would take to secure the 1 seed this year. If you want to be angry about something , it should be the NFL and their elimination of the bye week for the 2 seed in the playoffs. For no other reason than pure greed. Unfortunately it coincided with Josh Allen becoming well, Josh Allen. Thats a bummer for Bills fans.

The Chiefs and Ravens both looked great today.  One of them or the Bills are the only AFC team that will end up in New Orleans.

National observers probably have Buffalo #3 on that list as of today based on how the Bills looked last Sunday.

It certainly wasn’t enough, but probably all they’re capable of. They look like a one and done unless they play HOU or something like that.

Fortunately, the rankings of national observers have zero impact on which team(s) end up in New Orleans.
