I would normally do something from the Sopranos like Baked Ziti however we have sooooooo many left overs from last night and today that given the game is likely meaningless I am going to rest my starting cookware.

 

Going to bubble wrap the wooden spoons and leave the outdoor grill on the bench.

 

I will just finish off what is left of The Feast of the Seven Fishes I made last night.  I think the Octopus Stew will last that long and it is a huge batch.

 

The wife roasted a 14 lb capon, stuffing and Shephed's Pie for lunch and there was a 12 lb smoked pork shoulder there for breakfast.  No way that is finished by Sunday.

 

I am thinking Club House Sandwiches and a nice bowl of the Octopus Stew.

 

I made Fish Head Broth that I needed for some of the 7 dishes so a bowl of fish broth can quickly be turned into Pho or Tom Yum.

 

So I best buckle down on the left overs so that there is room for the Sushi and Vietnamese Cold Rolls I will be making for New Year's Eve.

Made a 4 deck Club House on huge slices of Calabrese Bread with PepperJack Cheese, Capon Breast, Smoked Ham, Bacon and Fried Sunny Side Up Eggs and Butter, Mayo, Honey Mustard and a Piri Cream.

 

Didn't have any tomatoes or lettuce on hand.

 

Only finished a third of it.

 

Sooooooo many left overs to deal with here.

Pizza just feels so right this week. Not just because it’s arguably the best game day food choice or fitting for bills opponent this week, but all the prepping and cooking from the holidays that come weekend time, it’s time to relax and order out

Disco Fries - Northern Jersey's version of Poutine since the 1970's... The only difference I see is that they use Mozzarella instead of cheese curds. I need something quick and easy, I'm not used to these early 1 o'clock games.

Are you in the DMV?  Our niece left for Georgetown this morning, her dad told my wife that the weather out there isn’t that great for the next few days he’s there with her.

54F and sunny now.  All the snow that was on the ground has melted away.

 

Tomorrow over 1 & 1/2" of rain followed by a little rain on Monday and another 3/4" on New Year's Eve day before the temperature drops to make it all a skating rink for New Year's Day.

 

Wild Thaw and Freeze.

Son just flew down today to be with his girlfriend in Annapolis.  I took a look at the weather on FlightAware and it looks very much like ass.

That area has some beautiful scenery. It’s definitely up there with Vancouver for me personally.
