the Cooper add is the kind of add that gets you over the top.   he is pulling the top corner, freeing up everyone one else.

Just throw the damn ball to who is open, Josh.  I couldn't care less who it is.

Go win games this season.   We'll worry on next season in March.

I hope we re-sign Cooper. Love to see Allen and Cooper have a full training camp together and see how well Cooper performs from there.

Cooper does take the attention off the other Bills receivers. In the Ravens and Texans games (before we traded for Cooper), the Bills WR’s were blanketed and Allen had no one open to throw to.

Come now guys. Cooper is 30 and will be 31 next June. Relying on him to be the catalyst of your receiving weapons is not the direction you should be taking. Just enjoy this season and hope he steps up when we really need it.

I think they'll offer him a contract that they think is fair for his age and production and what they believe he can do going forward. If he doesn't like that I suspect the Bills will gladly take the compensatory pick in 2026 and move on and draft another guy in the 2025 draft.

….and yet we are 2nd in the NFL in points/game. Let’s not make this out to be a dire situation. If Cooper means the other team has to cover the entire field, that doesn’t seem like it could hurt.

Eye roll from @Billsfan1972? What, are we not second in the NFL in points/game?  It has been discussed at length the importance of having an adequate threat as a boundary receiver to keep defenses honest and prevent clogging the middle of the field. Do you disagree with that? Or do you just want to be negative because you’re a McD hater?  I’m just trying to understand.

Sounds a little bit like that last game against the Pats****...

Cooper will be a difference maker in the playoffs. This offense is on another level since he was added to the team.

Hollins is better than I thought he was going to be, but Cooper needs more plays.

Nothing wrong with getting Coleman some snaps now to work back in game shape. But come playoffs they need more Cooper and less Hollins/Samuel/Coleman.

What are your thoughts on Amari Cooper so far?

Two targets this past Sunday vs the Patriots. Zero targets vs. the Lions. He’s had two decent games but he seems to be invisible most of the time. I know he’s due for a contract but I feel like we can replace his production with a WR in the draft. I would like him back but I wouldn’t overpay.

What do I think?  So far I think he's just along for the ride. But if he gets usage in the playoffs and delivers it's all worth it.

It feels weird saying this but the pats did a way better job holding up in coverage with Josh buying a ton of time for himself than the vast majority of teams weve seen

Doubtful they re-sign him since he will be a free agent after this season, someone else will probably out bid the Bills.

His lack of targets is a value killer, he won’t be getting massively paid.

Thankfully they can make the decision at the end of the season … because I wouldn’t be extending him on what he has shown here thus far …

It’s his last deal most likely … so he won’t be playing here on chump change

his career pattern is a few big games that make up like 40% of his season totals, then the rest are meh to invisible games.

Amari Cooper had 8 games of 89 or more yards receiving in 2023 in 15 games played.    So 8 of his 15 games played were ABOVE his per game average.

It's entirely disingenuous to imply that he traditionally just has "a few big games" and the rest are "meh to invisible".

You continue to just make false narratives around stats you just made up.

Yes, and we seem very angry about that.

🤷‍♂️

I don’t read through these threads. Lots of hot takes. My thoughts are centered around winning. We’ve won with him at better clip than we’ve won without him.
