f0neguy Posted Monday at 08:51 PM Posted Monday at 08:51 PM Not excusing all of the penalties but yesterday he got called for lining up too far off of the line. No replay was shown so don’t know if it was egregious or just the refs doing what they do. I know he has been flagged a few times for illegal formation where a receiver didn’t line up properly and cover him up. So yeah, the penalty was on him but not really…. Remember the Unsportsmanlike Conduct against the Jets when he pancaked a guy? Considering how well he’s playing I’ll take an occasional hold. 2 Quote
Ben Posted Monday at 09:09 PM Posted Monday at 09:09 PM 93rd pick overall from a small school too. Its so great that the Bills are among the best at scouting and developing talent after years of Aaron Maybin type picks. 1 Quote

Would be nice if these analysts who are paid millions per year could show video and point some of this stuff out to us. The analysis has been incredibly weak this season. Quote

Utah John Posted Monday at 10:28 PM Posted Monday at 10:28 PM (edited) Spencer Brown's rise into one of the better right tackles... Well, how about Spencer Brown's rise into one of the best right tackles... So Penei Sewell is acknowledged as the best RT but how many other are out there that you'd take over Brown? 1 hour ago, f0neguy said: Not excusing all of the penalties but yesterday he got called for lining up too far off of the line. I don't remember him being called for ANY holding penalties. As for lining up off the line, he is far less egregious than the clown the Chiefs have at RT, who lines up back from the line AND jumps way early on almost all pass plays. And gets away with it, all the time. Edited Monday at 10:34 PM by Utah John Quote

Explosive pop on first contact, then just throwing pro DEs into the dirt. Impressive. Yep, and the overreaction posters on the board wanted to release him a year or two ago even though he came out drafted with no camp (COVID) and injured all of season his second season, so didn’t get it truly together until his third season. Now in his 4th he absolutely deserved an extension. He’s also basically Allen’s personal bodyguard given when an opponent tries to cheap shot Allen, Brown the 6’8” all muscle beast jumps in like in a heartbeat. I love that version of nasty. Hes been an excellent RT the last two years, and was solid for a rookie that season. 4 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted Monday at 10:37 PM Posted Monday at 10:37 PM Aside from Allen's heroics, few things in football please me more than watching enormous and talented linemen mauling their opponents Size, athleticism, and pure raw power cannot be coached. 1 1 Quote

Along with Allen and Dawkins, the only true All Pros on the team. I had hopes for Bernard, but he seems to have faded, or at least not continued developing. Quote

I never once wanted to trade him and stated I clearly liked him and wanted him on the roster. I just wasn't confident he'd ever develop the footwork to play OT and I wanted to see what kind of a monster he would look like at RG. Quote

Just knew you started a topic on him. Some other posters wanted to trade him because he could not move fast enough for speed rushers on the outside. He has developed nicely and has a great punch out technique. And he does not over reach like he used to. Footwork has been much improved. Know we just need to sign Ted Washington as the 1t. Mite be a little old though. Quote
julian Posted Tuesday at 01:20 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:20 AM I replaced my grandson with Spencer Brown as my background picture on my phone for a week right after the draft. I’m not proud of this and my wife said I was weird, but I don’t think I’ve been more excited about a non first round pick as I was about Brown. The athleticism, size and nasty streak had me convinced that if everything clicked for him that he’d be a fan favourite. 2 Quote

HappyDays Posted Tuesday at 02:32 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:32 AM He's been the 2nd best player on the team IMO. Already has a claim as the best run blocking OT in the game. If/when Penei Sewell moves to LT, Brown will be the best RT in the league. 1 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted Tuesday at 02:44 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:44 AM I actually think that his first half was very average but the whole team was like that yesterday. Picked things up in the 2nd half. Quote
