He caused multiple incompletions and a near INT from Nix without question Nix was pressured at the highest rate of the season/his career so far on over 51% of his dropbacks. They were getting after it yesterday up front even tho they only got 2 sacks. 4 1 Quote

He just doesn't quite close as quickly as once he did. Agreed, SB MVP Von would have a sack yesterday. But he was still good yesterday, created a lot of pressures and is far from washed. 1 3 1 Quote

JP51 Posted Monday at 07:33 PM Posted Monday at 07:33 PM Von can still play and honestly outside of Rousseau is our most effective pass rusher imo... the loss of Floyd was bigger than I thought, Epenesa is Epi.. splash play then quiet for 3 games... but Von isnt getting the leveraged drive he used too... he is flailing by the time he gets to the QB and not under control... I have seen him miss sacks this year in the past he would have totally closed... I think this is wysiwyg just a function of age and injury... that being said... it would be wonderful for him to have one last swan song in these playoffs and recapture his old form... 1 Quote

TheBrownBear Posted Monday at 08:06 PM Posted Monday at 08:06 PM Von ain't what he was, but he can still wreak a little havoc and he is peaking at the right time. All of a sudden, our defense, while not dominating, looks good enough to win a championship. 2 3 Quote
Lieutenant Aldo Raine Posted Monday at 08:09 PM Posted Monday at 08:09 PM Even if Von can't get to Lamar, just needs to hold his containment and let Lamar hopefully run to him. 1 Quote

TurfToeJam Posted Monday at 08:46 PM Posted Monday at 08:46 PM Von definitely looked a little quicker to me yesterday. He did a better job holding the edge. He probably really wanted a sack against his old team. I think that's the best we will see out of him. I would think aj epenesa is quicker than von so he might be better fitted playing against Lamar Jackson (?) Quote

The Von disrespect is unreal lol. Not an all pro level but he was a pretty darn good edge defender all year. He’s as likely as anyone to come up with a huge play in the playoffs. I think if you told 2015 von he would battle back from a bad knee injury in his mid 30s to play at this level he’d be alright with it Edited Monday at 09:33 PM by Generic_Bills_Fan 2 2 1 Quote

uninja Posted Monday at 09:36 PM Posted Monday at 09:36 PM We just need 1-2 timely sacks in each of the next 3 games. Strip sacks would be better, but I digress. 1 Quote
