You can stop… I stand by opinion that PFF is straight garbage. 1 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted yesterday at 07:06 PM Posted yesterday at 07:06 PM For someone as experienced as him he seemed to take some poor angles that allowed screen plays to succeed and allow Maye to escape the rush. If he held a little more outside it would have helped. 2 Quote

The play is at 17:17...not sure why YouTube is being funky and not putting it at the right time even tho it was set properly. Yup that was a nice spin move and heavy pressure forcing a incomplete pass. Yesterday was a very solid game for Von and possibly the best of the season for him. I have no clue what people are looking for? I just hope his pressures and production clicks at the perfect time for the playoffs. 1 Quote

Would 3 sacks against NE make you happy? I know its tough for some to admit that Drake Maye is pretty damn good. He got the ball out very fast and pretty accurately especially in the 1st half. The Patriots have something here. Von and Groot would have had some sacks against Jacoby Brissett if he played yesterday. Also the Pill (Alex Van Pelt) called a really nice game that took advantage of Maye's strengths. Von looked pretty f'ing spry yesterday for an old guy. 1 Quote

I have mentioned he was average for so long only getting a few sacks a year and all I ever got was "but his rush win rate, but his hits and pressures". He very rarely made sacks but everyone loved him. We're you a Jerry truther to? Good point 1 1 Quote
CNYfan Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM I thought PFF was a pay for grade system? They took money from Agents to boost grades? I think Von is somewhere near OK. I am hopeful he makes some plays in the post season Quote
BillMafia716ix Posted yesterday at 07:20 PM Posted yesterday at 07:20 PM One of the guys who thinks production is just about sacks. Von has been solid. He’s obviously not prime Von Miller but he hasn’t been terrible 14 minutes ago, Real McClappy said: Yup that was a nice spin move and heavy pressure forcing a incomplete pass. Which is something we haven’t had the last two postseasons. 1 Quote

There was no need for him to do that. I don’t fault him for earning less money than he could have. I think he’s getting more disruptive, and I’m hoping he’s saving the game of his golden years for the playoffs. 3 minutes ago, SoCal Deek said: He is washed. Wake up! So, he didn’t have 6 pressures? Unfortunately BOTH are extremely misleading statistics. Quote

So you're not a fan of rotation on the DL (which is something almost every NFL team does) and you aren't happy with players getting gassed Can't have it both ways. Quote

Pressure is real in the game of football, even if it’s not in line with what you want to think about Von or anybody else. I’m not saying he looked like a HOFer out there, but he is definitely disruptive at times. As often happens, I’m somewhere in the middle, but people try to sell the extremes. He’s not what he once was, even when he first arrived in WNY, but he still makes plays and I hope he peaks in the playoffs. . Edited 23 hours ago by Augie 1 1 Quote

JMM Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago This I what I am seeing. He is able to get upfield again, but he simply does not have the bend anymore that made him a future HOF. So he is able to be rode out a lot of the time. He did have one spin move yesterday that was awesome and made me wonder why he isn't doing that a bit more often. Other than Groot hes the best pass rusher we have at this point. We have to hope he can somehow find that extra gear in the playoffs, because we DESPERATELY need a closer for the pass rush. Quote

Shaw66 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) 1 hour ago, GunnerBill said: It was certainly the best he has moved since week 2. But we have had people saying the return to form is right around the corner for about a season and a half. It's time to show us the baby. I think you have the wrong take on this. Last season was his recovery from injury. It was wishful thinking on everyone's part (including maybe the Bills) that he would contribute last season. Plus, I think it's important to focus on why the Bills acquired him: to be a playmaker in the playoffs. They were clear about it, and everyone understood that. Yes, we all hoped he'd have 15 sack seasons, and in fact his first season in Buffalo was pretty nice until he was injured. 8 sacks in 11 games. I have no inside information, and this is just speculation, but I think McDermott, Babich, and Miller have had very clear conversations about the fact that what matters, all that matters, is sacks and pressures in January and February. I think what we saw yesterday was Miller beginning to ramp up. As I noted, we saw the first spin move on Sunday. I think we'll see more in the next couple of weeks. We'll see a bull rush or two. He's bringing all his moves back, putting them on film for opponents to begin to worry about. I think he's playing himself into Von Miller shape. The Bills haven't needed him this season; they need him when the playoffs start. Edited 23 hours ago by Shaw66 1 Quote
mjt328 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago The Bills always seem to have pass rushers who get "pressure"... yet fail to get the sack. Their cornerbacks always seem to be in "good coverage"... only to watch receivers make great catches over them anyway. 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago 1 hour ago, Beast said: Smoot and Solomon should see the field before Miller and hopefully will when the playoffs start. It’s not about appeasing egos…it’s about winning a Super Bowl. Smoot wasn't very good yesterday either. Gave up his gap on a 3rd down and Maye scrambled right through it for a 1st down, also got too wide on Stevenson's TD run and gave him an easy lane. Quote
