Savage Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM I’ve seen a few people on this site that have said that VM dominated yesterday. were we watching different games?? he’s slow, can’t turn the edge, and completely dogs it when he is slightly out of the play. the dude is brutal man. he’s bringing absolutely nothing. what did he dominate? running up the field ten yards in a straight line, and being pushed out of the play??? and not chasing the play down after that?? and just dogging it after that??? flame away, but he shouldn’t be on the field. he brings nothing. 14 3 1 1 3 Quote

Savage Posted yesterday at 05:04 PM Author Posted yesterday at 05:04 PM That’s all he’s got against an inferior opponent. Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted yesterday at 05:10 PM Posted yesterday at 05:10 PM I wouldn't say he was dominant. He did have a few nice pass rushes that I saw. Maye was getting the ball out pretty quick under pressure yesterday. He did bite on a couple outside runs I saw as well. As far as "dogging it" sometimes guys get gassed and sometimes it can be so something they do on purpose to get the OL used to them at one speed before coming full throttle and catching them off balance. 1 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted yesterday at 05:12 PM Posted yesterday at 05:12 PM He had quick pressure on several plays yesterday...seems like you have decided what you want to see and nothing will change your mind from seeing it. 5 3 1 3 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted yesterday at 05:14 PM Posted yesterday at 05:14 PM He runs straight up the field because he simply cannot bend his route on that knee. If the QB rolls in his direction it’s called a pressure….but we all know it’s not. 1 Quote

Gassed? if he gets gassed playing the amount he does, then another reason he shouldn’t be on the field. 2 minutes ago, Big Turk said: He had quick pressure on several plays yesterday...seems like you have decided what you want to see and nothing will change your mind from seeing it. Dude, he blows. quick pressure means nothing. Results are what matters. don’t confuse a minuscule bit of effort with results. not just minuscule effort, but minuscule ability / agility at this point. stick a fork in him, he’s done. 1 3 3 2 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted yesterday at 05:23 PM Posted yesterday at 05:23 PM I mean he's past his prime. My expectations for him are pretty low. He is not the home run hitter on the Defense that he was paid and brought in here to be. 3 Quote

He did have a couple of QB pressures but he did not dominate by any stretch of the imagination. In fact on that 4th & 2 late, Miller got fooled by Maye on the run that kept the Pats in the game. 2 Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted yesterday at 05:26 PM Posted yesterday at 05:26 PM I have been saying all season that I felt like he was still working himself back into form, and that I expected him to start looking like the old Von Miller by the time the playoffs came around, but yesterday, he just looked like OLD Von Miller instead. Just a guy. He was close to making a good play a few times, but just seemed a step or two behind. That said, if he can find a way to recapture his former self when it really matters, and make a play or two in the playoffs that help us win games, I will consider his season successful. That is of course, a very big IF. 1 1 Quote

Von Miller had an 80+ pff grade and 6 pressures... He had multiple pressures where he completely blew by the tackle. Edited yesterday at 05:27 PM by Kelly to Allen 1 3 Quote
GunnerBill Posted yesterday at 05:29 PM Posted yesterday at 05:29 PM He didn't dominate. Was one of his better games though. He had some pressure. I still think he is washed. 2 1 2 1 Quote
Man with No Name Posted yesterday at 05:31 PM Posted yesterday at 05:31 PM Last couple games, He's shown he can get close to the qb, b ut can't finish. I'm not sure if that's a step in the right direction, or if it's a sign that even when he's at his best, he just can't do it anymore. 1 Quote

That was the only mistake I saw him make all day. And I knew he was going to get flak for not running it down harder, but he already had the 1st down, was not going any further and there was no point popping a hamstring or hammering a teammate for no reason late in a game they were completely in control of. Miller looked better yesterday than he has in two years and if you couldn't see that, it's on you. NE eventually started throwing RB's at him because he was tearing up that OT all night long. Folks can hate on him because he got hurt, but it says more about them than him. Like it or not, I think he's going to create problems for opposing offenses in the playoffs. 5 1 1 2 Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted yesterday at 05:34 PM Posted yesterday at 05:34 PM Von played a good game. Lot of pressures. Needs to close the door and finish with some sacks. 2 2 Quote
mikemac2001 Posted yesterday at 05:35 PM Posted yesterday at 05:35 PM They were throwing the ball quick yesterday and if they had a deeper route they had extra blockers. von was close on about 4-5 but they were killing us with the quick passing zone beaters and our LBs and safety’s were not causing drake to hesitate. I’m not saying he is playing great but it looked like he had the most pressure yesterday. the play that bother me was the screen they threw behind him. Typically he reads that and stops but I think he was pressing for a sack and we don’t need that 3 Quote
