I think Cam Ward is the only NFL QB in this class, and I probably wouldn’t trade up for him.

Some teams are looking at Shadeur Sanders.  I'm not sold on him.

I’m not sold on drafting the son of his father. Can we find a way to send that crap to Dallas? Please?

Yeah, Sanders has bust written all over him. Couldn't imagine him going to Las Vegas like it's reported he wants.

Hoping the Jets take a big swing on him.

55 with a half inch of rain and 10-20 mph winds with higher gusts.

Not ideal for Allen to have an MVP performance.

I went to a game a few years ago (2021)?  We  sat in a steady hard cold rain the entire day and the Bills beat Houston like 40-0.  Allen passed and ran with ease in the rain, so hopefully that can be replicated.

the way to beat the jets is to pound the rock. I am hoping that’s what we do, rather than force the ball downfield just to boost stats.

I think there will be a new high bust rate among NAI era dudes. They are not going to have the same drive.

It could work the other way. They have less incentive to leave early so teams get to see them develop for longer. A good example is Bo Nix. He was pro-ready in ways that QBs of the past were not.

Yep but I don't see Nix as more a proto NAI player. Went to Oregon to genuinely pursue glory knowing his NFL rating was not as high as he hoped. More like Russ Wilson.

Depending on how Wednesday plays out, the Bills could have a lot to play for. Jets have absolutely nothing to play for so if the Bills come out sharp, high possibility the Jets fold. Jets like NE, have nothing remaining to play for but pride and draft position, so they’ll be loose and aggressive.

Hopefully, the coaching staff has a better game plan and the team is more mentally focused to play. Film review won’t be pretty as a team.

One would think Douglas, Rapp and Hamlin will be back for this game.

After three bad defensive performances in a row, can the Bills D get right? Jets have weapons and if given time Rodgers can still sling it. All eyes will be on our DL. Can they shut down the run, get pressure and sack Rodgers, and get off the field on 3rd downs?

Offensively, stop with the pre snap penalties, take the short stuff, move the chains and keep Josh from taking unnecessary hits.

Special Teams, can we have a non eventful game without any ST blunders.

Would it be asking too much to put this game away early? Probably so :) At the end of the day, get the W and stay healthy.

I have to say that you should only use the phrase " onto the ____" after a loss. We won the game so it should be " just focus on the Jets".

I have high hopes for the Bills overall, but I suspect Milano will continue to be a net liability out there. He just doesn't have time to get back to peak form, given the rate of improvement he's shown to date and his continuing fragility. In the playoffs, you don't want your guys hesitating, missing tackles, and getting blocked out of the play on a regular basis. I'd rather see Dorian Williams play. He's making fewer mistakes this year, and he flies to the ball like no one else out there.

You know, given this defense, Babich deserves a lot of credit. He just doesn't have a lot of talent to work with. Milano, DeQuan, and Douglas are declining fast, Bernard has gone quiet, Epenesa is a warm body, Oliver runs hot and cold, Hamlin must be the slowest safety in the league, and the rookies aren't contributing much yet. Babich is right to stress turnovers. They just can't compete otherwise, as we saw in the Patriots game.

In short, Allen has gone supernova in a trough year for the defense.

I want Milano to play LB in a base 4-3 defense vs a heavy personnel front we will likely encounter vs a team in the playoffs. Now is the time to experiment and try to dominate.

IDK, the NIL thing allows more movement and gets more people to play that wouldn't have otherwise so it's likely broadening the QB pool in general.

If I'm Woody Johnson, I'm thinking the best route is to hire a competent GM/coach/OC, and then keep Rodgers and everyone else important in place. The Shadeur + possibly Deion thing is a recipe for continued disaster. I actually think the Jets/Rodgers have a good chance to be competitive next year.

I disagree. But let me say, I think CFB will shift to allow some point failed NFL players to come back to the CFB ranks.

I'm in a competent NFL caliber GM/ coach/ OC , my best route- I stay the fudge away from Woody Johnson and the NY Jets.

This is off-topic, but after the Seattle-Bears game, Geno Smith was asked about the offensive struggles and mentioned the rain.  On some kind of bet, former Seattle player Richard Sherman had to get in an ice bath, which he did, gingerly, up to his waist.  Fitz then peeled off and hopped in, dunking himself up to his neck, splashing water on himself, and pouring extra bags of ice over his head before sprawling out over the barrel with his arms outstretched like he was sunbathing

Wonder which of them played in a dome then temperate San Francisco, and which of them played outdoors in Cincy, Buffalo, NY, and Washington.

Fitz is a national treasure.

I understand your perspective, but I gotta say - I thought that about the Browns when we lost DC Mike Pettine to be HC of the Browns, "if he's smart, he'll use that interview as practice but stay the fudge away from that Factory of Sadness".

But he took the job.

There's only 32 of those NFL HC gigs in the world, and when a man is offered one, it's hard to turn it down.

If the Bills need to win to retain the 2 seed, they'll game plan enough to be pretty sure of winning.  If not, they'll go very vanilla.  Maybe even sit Josh Allen for the second half if they have a good lead.

Looking ahead at the weather forecast for Sunday early afternoon, it's gonna be interesting.  Quite warm for late December (high 50s) with rain, and with 10-15 mph winds from the south or southeast (hence the higher temperatures).  The stadium has tricky winds even when the prevailing winds are from the west and straight down the field, but with winds blowing across the rim of the stadium and then swirling, it will be harder to connect on touch passes and deep outs.  It's time to turn even more to the RBs.  I would like to see Cook protected for the playoffs so paging Ray Davis, paging Ty Johnson.
