Anyone else kind of hope that the Pats beat our backups next week if that's how it plays out?  They're at #2 in the draft right now & can trade that for a great haul, which would set them up pretty well for the future if they play their cards right.  

 

Right before our game last week I checked the mock drafts and they had the Pats taking Travis Hunter at #3.  Maye to Hunter could be a pretty solid combo over the next 5 years if that happens.

BTW...I felt really stupid until I read someone's post in the game thread, that he also had to fast forward to get to the actual game.

Same thing happened to me for the Tyson fight - eventually figured it out as I was seeing reports of the results for the undercard and I was still in pregame mode.  That experience helped me out yesterday😄

I had the same experience. The interface totally made me believe I was going to be watching live from the start of the game, then after about 15 minutes I was like, "when is this game going to start?" which is when I realized I was watching the pregame crap. Missed the first two drives of the game. I was not pleased.

 

Also, I kept going in and out of the game and when I'd come back, it would be the same thing—I'd get the impression I was going to watch "live", but each time the game came on I was back where I left off the last time and had to fast forward every time. Not a great look, Netflix.

That might have been me in the game thread. They had a thing there for the game, and I clicked on it only to start with the pregame garbage. It only went 4x on the FF and it was annoying as hell. After halftime it was more normal. If there was a better way to go right to the game, they didn’t make it obvious enough. That’s on them, not us. 

 

EDIT: Similar situation, I was trying to get Dan Patrick on Peacock. If you go to search and put in Dan Patrick it lists all the past episodes. Friday’s episode does me little good on a Monday after a weekend of games.  You’d think if you search for “Dan Patrick”, it would include the live show, but no. You have to go to the guide and look under channels. They do not do a good job of presenting a user friendly solution.

It sucks losing to KC in the playoffs, but generally Josh performs well in the post season; it's our defense that lets us down. Lamar? Not so much; posting a 2-4 record.

With the Pats out of the QB sweepstakes next Draft, I'd be surprised if they didn't trade down and pick up some more draft picks to restock the empty cupboard in Foxborough.  The #3 pick should be worth the other team's 2025 and 2026 first round picks, and some other lesser picks for a team hunting their franchise QB.

This year is not a good year for QBs.  No one really worth trading up for.

I think Cam Ward is the only NFL QB in this class, and I probably wouldn’t trade up for him.
