I care more about Pittsburgh beating KC next week to stay ahead of Baltimore in the standings.

If the Ravens get the 3rd seed, that means they'd play the Chargers in the WC, then go to play Buffalo in the divisional round. I prefer not to play Baltimore & would rather them go to KC.

So let’s also hope the Texans win their next two games!

The real dream scenario is getting the 1 seed plus Cincinnati beating the Steelers.

Means we get the bye then the winner of PIT/HOU, while Baltimore goes to KC for a chance to come to us. However it plays out we are going to have to beat the best teams in football, so sticking to going 1-0 each week and getting healthy is more important than catching a break from someone else.

Based on his recent comments, it seems like he’s auditioning for the rest of the league. I expect his best. Not the kind of guy who is gonna tap out. That’s not his personality at all. He prides himself as someone who plays through pain.

McD needs to come up with a good plan to make his day miserable. Show no mercy.

Rodgers releases the ball in under 2.5 seconds. He hates contact.

If KC wins Wednesday, let’s see every back up we have. Of course that means no change for the secondary, but get Mitch some snaps and give Josh two weeks to recover from a season of football.

Sure, but just because KC wins it doesn’t mean we’re guaranteed the 2 seed. Still need to win one more.

There is no team in the league I hate more than the Jets. I might hate them more than every other team in the league combined. I don’t care if we had no chance for movement or who was playing, kill this team. No loss can be bad enough for the jets as far as I’m concerned

Can you be more descriptive? Exactly how much do you hate them? Would you hate them in a car? Do you hate them in a bar?

good thought. If that is the case, we need Pittsburgh to beat both KC and Cincy. There is no way Baltimore is losing to Houston and Cleveland.

So Pitt needs to basically win out. That could happen especially with Chris jones possibly out and if Cincy is eliminated after this week; I can see them then sitting their entire team in week 18, especially Burrow.

edit: the risk in this “rooting scenario is if the Bills don’t win out And Pittsburgh does, then we drop to the 3 seed.

As long as Buffalo wins just 1 of their next 2 games, it's ok if Pittsburgh wins out. We'll still have a 1 game lead over them.

These Wednesday games are a blessing.  We will know exactly what needs to happen on Sunday several days in advance.  If KC and Houston win? Shut it down and get healthy.  If Pittsburgh and/or Baltimore win? We ride at dawn.

That is definitely the dream scenario, but after the Rams loss & seeing how KC has been playing lately, I pretty much moved on from considering the 1 seed a real possibility. At this point, I'm just looking at best paths to get to the AFCCG, and in my mind, that means avoiding Baltimore for as long as possible.

Even if we're a better team, I just don't think they're a good matchup. Lamar & Henry are too much for our D.

I don’t want to go into playoffs with starters not getting game time for 3 weeks

I do. Let the boys rest, get healthy. Wouldn’t it be grand to play playoff with starters? We don’t need a Cole Beasley play with broken ribs again. Defense last playoff was health wise, broke to pieces.

Yep, hopefully get some reps for them. Either way we should be in decent shape.

I really doubt Steelers will take care of Chiefs. My bet is we win and have nothing to play for in NE.

Sunday Captain Trips will come out playing for another massive payday by the Jests, without a pass rush the Bills DBs will have a problem containing Adams and Wilson, not to mention Hall on the ground.

I also don't expect the Bills to lay down in their regular season finale, giving their paying fans a late season preseason game. Win Sunday and give the patriots a preseason type finale.

I think the Jests will do their best in helping the Bills get that #3 seed. This is their Super Bowl.

for sure.  Strange that all of the “special” games starting with Black Friday this season were AFC matchups.   I’ll take it.

This is definitely at 1:00.  Correct?  Missing my 5:00 power nap is killing me.  Late afternoon games are the devil.

Yep. they would’ve announced a flex by now.

This is a grave disservice to the actual owner of the title and I insist that you make amends by immediately imbibing in whatever substance you think appropriate for your sin.
