If one thing goes our way on Christmas, we need three more things to go our way.

 

1) Beat the Jets this week

2) Beat the @Pats next week

3) KC loses in Denver next week.

 

If KC beats PIT then beating the Jets guarantees us the 2 seed, and the winner of Ravens Texans gets the 3 seed.

 

Beating the Jets is a huge game for us on so many levels. And after watching NE play us tough and us perform in a way that wouldn't have cut it in the playoffs, hopefully there is a sense of urgency.

 

Keep getting healthier, enjoy Christmas, and go 1-0 on Sunday.

Rams played outdoors, in the cold, traveling across country.  Playing at home in their temperature controlled stadium makes a difference.  But having said that, our defense could not stop them at all.

rodgers cannot move so if they get home like they did a few times yesterday they will knock him down.

Yea i am holding out hope they hit Rodgers all day.  He can’t move at all their line is not very good.

I care more about Pittsburgh beating KC next week to stay ahead of Baltimore in the standings. 

 

If the Ravens get the 3rd seed, that means they'd play the Chargers in the WC, then go to play Buffalo in the divisional round. I prefer not to play Baltimore & would rather them go to KC.

good thought. If that is the case, we need Pittsburgh to beat both KC and Cincy. There is no way Baltimore is losing to Houston and Cleveland.
 

So Pitt needs to basically win out. That could happen especially with Chris jones possibly out and if Cincy is eliminated after this week; I can see them then sitting their entire team in week 18, especially Burrow.

 

edit: the risk in this “rooting scenario is if the Bills don’t win out And Pittsburgh does, then we drop to the 3 seed.

I think the Bills will be sharper. McDermott was pissed on Sunday.  I believe they will put together a nice game vs NY, get back to some offensive mojo and then it likely gets shut down at NE in the final game.  

 

If KC loses to Pittsburgh of course they will have to win the last two and they won’t mail in the NE game.

You guys are crazy. The Jets are Superbowl contenders. They'd be foolish to draft and start a rookie QB next year because Rodgers has a 77 rating.

I expect the Jets to play us tough and at times their defense can cause problems still especially if we are going to play in vanilla. They were flying around a bit yesterday against the Rams making some nice tackles in the open field. Offense at times looks like it has a pulse but then regresses. I see a close game that we pull away late on.

Based on his recent comments, it seems like he’s auditioning for the rest of the league. I expect his best. Not the kind of guy who is gonna tap out. That’s not his personality at all. He prides himself as someone who plays through pain.
