Not because NE lost, but because he wanted the Bills to win 52-10 so Mayo would be fired. There’s a big faction of NE fans that want him out. If Mayo should get fired, they would be smart to back up the Brinks truck for Ben Johnson who I can see would take the job given the presence of Maye, their cap space, and draft potential. 1 Quote
Rocky Landing Posted Monday at 06:30 PM Posted Monday at 06:30 PM I think we're actually pretty lucky the Jets have been playing pretty decent football in the last few weeks-- better than they played earlier in the season, anyway. The Rodgers-->Adams connection is pretty strong right now, their O-line has been gelling. Their D has probably underperformed to what was predicted, but the last few weeks provides quite a bit of tape on how McD and co. might game-plan. That's going to be important for what should be a tough division game, and keeping the roster healthy. Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted Monday at 06:31 PM Posted Monday at 06:31 PM This game was supposed to be a huge game. Absolutely meaningless now. Quote

He and Adams have been playing pitch and catching at will. These are still professional athletes the want to win. And if they aren't winning they need to put good stuff on field for the next staff or teams around the league for next year. Then add in the teams just do not like each other. This one isn't going to be a pushover. That's pretty much it. Quote

As a divisional opponent, they're a tougher matchup for us than they were for the Rams. And with the #1 seed still in play, it's maybe equally important that we a)win, and b) finish the game healthy. Game-planning the m-fers is paramount. 1 Quote

This one isn't going to be a pushover. Rodgers is pretty banged up and was limping at times yesterday. He will be missing his new LT that had been playing well. He doesn’t have the mobility that Maye has, so if the Bills DL comes to play on Sunday they have a chance at a nice day. Quote
Straight Hucklebuck Posted Monday at 09:04 PM Posted Monday at 09:04 PM I like Schopp much more when he does the show alone, and Bulldog for that matter. Mike can just lay out his thoughts on the team and league without playing into the role of making lame jokes, taking low-key shots at the callers, driving the topic at hand into a discussion about breakfast cereal and what your favorite pair of pants is. It’s kind of all the “new-age” thoughts you’d expect - defense doesn’t matter, running backs are interchangeable, have to stay aggressive on 4th-down, need playmakers at WR. Quote

Put another way, the Rams offense that went through our D like a knife through hot butter for almost 50 points could only manage a 110 yard 1 to 1 int performance against theirs. 1 Quote

The offensive line should present all kinds of opportunities for the bills defense this week. rodgers cannot move so if they get home like they did a few times yesterday they will knock him down. have to get him to third and 7+ though. Rodgers is still playing hard because he wants to get to 500 td’s. Quote
947 Posted Monday at 09:21 PM Posted Monday at 09:21 PM Instead of starting the game playing a pre-season Defense and falling into a hole, how about we start the game aggressively & then play pre-season D in the 2nd half when the game is already decided & the Jets have mentally quit? 3 1 Quote
