TFBillsfan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Depending on how Wednesday plays out, the Bills could have a lot to play for. Jets have absolutely nothing to play for so if the Bills come out sharp, high possibility the Jets fold. Jets like NE, have nothing remaining to play for but pride and draft position, so they’ll be loose and aggressive. Hopefully, the coaching staff has a better game plan and the team is more mentally focused to play. Film review won’t be pretty as a team. One would think Douglas, Rapp and Hamlin will be back for this game. After three bad defensive performances in a row, can the Bills D get right? Jets have weapons and if given time Rodgers can still sling it. All eyes will be on our DL. Can they shut down the run, get pressure and sack Rodgers, and get off the field on 3rd downs? Offensively, stop with the pre snap penalties, take the short stuff, move the chains and keep Josh from taking unnecessary hits. Special Teams, can we have a non eventful game without any ST blunders. Would it be asking too much to put this game away early? Probably so At the end of the day, get the W and stay healthy. 1 Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Rodgers got pretty banged up towards the end of their game yesterday. Any word on his health yet? Quote

They wanted to Keep their coach and were fighting to save his job. Maye's comments after the game were very revealing along those lines. Kind of like what we saw out of Dallas later that night - a much more inspired effort then anyone thought was possible. Beating the Bills in Buffalo when they're the talk of the league would have gone a long way towards saving Mayo's job. In contrast I'm not convinced that the Jet's will have a similar motivation to save their interim coach and Aaron Rogers jobs. I suspect we'll see a game from the Jets more like the one we all expected but didn't get from the Pats. Quote

Gregg Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Games against the Jets recently have been pretty physical. These 2 teams really don't like each other. We know Dawkins hates the Jets and he is not shy about saying it. I expect this game will be like yesterday where the Bills find themselves in another close game. Edited 3 hours ago by Gregg 4 Quote
BRH Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Playing to save the coach's job is what talented teams do; e.g., the Bills last year after 5-5. Playing to save their OWN jobs, or at least to make themselves more attractive to other teams in the offseason, is what bad teams do. I think the Jets fall into that latter category. So do the Patriots. Maye probably had a different motivation than many of his teammates, because he knows he's not going anywhere. Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I agree they need to just jump on them and coast the clock out in the second half. But it probably wont be that easy. 1 Quote

Look at how even the Cowboys have responded for McCarthy after losing their starting QB and having a rash of injuries on D. Have gone 4-1 in their last 5 when they easily could have rolled over and quit. Quote

He and Adams have been playing pitch and catching at will. These are still professional athletes the want to win. And if they aren't winning they need to put good stuff on field for the next staff or teams around the league for next year. Then add in the teams just do not like each other. This one isn't going to be a pushover. 1 Quote

And not in an enjoyable way. 😳 1 Quote
CincyBillsFan Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Here are the last 3 home games played against the Jets - all in December/January: 2021: 27 - 10 2022: 20 - 12 2023: 32 - 6 Earlier in those seasons the Bills lost 20 - 17 (2021); 22 - 16 (2022) and won a close one 23 - 20 this season. Quote

I think Rodgers is going to be really dialed in for this one as it’s against Josh and nothing more satisfying than playing Scrooge….whether he can physically do it, we will see. We tend to struggle against Jets D. I think it will be similar to yesterday. 1 Quote

BearNorth Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Also saw that Sauce Gardner & Tony Adams went out and did not return. Long season tough on these smaller DB's. Quote

BearNorth Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Noticing that T. Bernard is ranked [75/84] near the bottom of LB's. Is this a recent fall-off, or a steady decline? I know his run-stuffing hasn't been world class, but didn't think he had sunk that low. Quote
Big Turk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Early forecast looking downright balmy for the Jets game with a high of 51 and some showers off and on...winds 10-15 mph. 1 Quote

Not because NE lost, but because he wanted the Bills to win 52-10 so Mayo would be fired. There’s a big faction of NE fans that want him out. Quote
