I don’t think it’s the scheme. When the Bills D is playing badly, I’m seeing guys just flat out getting beat. That’s not scheme, it’s a lack of talent.

In that case "Wizard" Beane deserves blame, also.

We basically spent all offseason complaining how we never give Allen any resources. Which is largely true. So if your statement is also true are you saying it's on Beane?

Of course. He hasn’t had an all pro caliber hit on the DL . Milano was elite at LB but he’s been injured and isn’t the same player.

Beane has to shoulder blame for lack of elite DL or game changing LB ( Milano’s best days are behind him) He’s making the picks

I brought up the notion that Beane was not a witch this offseason and pretty much got destroyed. He's in the untouchable group in these parts. From my perspective both McD and Beane can't be elite if this is where we are. One of them can be, but both of them can't be.

Things are starting to line up where we will have Joe Burrow and company rolling into town on wildcard weekend. That frankly terrifies me with this defense, and I can easily see a one and done postseason in that scenario.

Have you seen the Bengals play defense. Allen is more than capable of winning a shootout over Burrow. For me I want the Bills to have no part of Baltimore. I think the Ravens are the team that would give the Bills the most trouble.

I think they will have something little different for playoffs this year if they have all top three LB and secondary in tact.

Wishful thinking

They aren’t lining up that way at all.

The Colts have the Giants next then at home against the Jaguars. They are your #7 seed if Denver falls out.

You're right.  I retract that.  I had failed to look at the remaining schedules of the Colts and Phins.  Cincy is still a LONGSHOT to make the playoffs as of today.

Don't get me wrong.  Ravens scare me too.

Yeah. I think right now if Cincinnati wins out the Colts are our likely opponent. But if the Colts do something dumb then Cincinnati I believe is our likely opponent. Denver has to win at Cincinnati. It can happen.

they’re planning post season already. You could hear it in the presser. They’re thinking ahead which is the correct thing to do at this stage. “One game at a time” is a total lie right now.

I crap on McD all the time but this is player execution not scheme.  It doesn't take a scheme to stop the run game. It takes guys just doing what they are supposed to do.

That said, If we don't make it to the SuperBowl I would get rid of him, but I wanted to get rid of him after 13 seconds.

He always folds in crisis situation. He did yesterday when everyone could see Allen's hand wasn't right. He shoudl have called TO. And the fake punt. He said they should have been in "defense safe" but it wasn't communicated. Well who's job is it to get that right? It's his. He either needs to tell the defense to stay out there or he needs to call TO knowing the punt team was out there.

He is terrible in crisis and it will probably cost us a SuperBowl again this year.

I screamed at the TV on both times but ref didn’t hear me either. He really is horrible inside 1-3 min. I can’t see how anyone can defend him under stress. Don’t the booth guys see the broadcast like us? Toss TBass in there and our “clutch” team melts at 2 min.

We don't have a Super Bowl Defense.  I'm sorry if this statement hurts some feelings. It's both talent and scheme.  We haven't had an elite pass rusher or game wrecking DL player in the Allen era. Then you factor in defensive injuries every year.  Since when has beating the Chiefs every year in the regular season ever translated to the playoffs. Milano was basically the closest thing to a dominant D player.  Now he's just an injury machine. Josh is Superman and yes he can put up points but if we get behind 14-0 against a playoff caliber team, it's probably over.  Sean either better find a great pass rusher or change his scheme.

Where was the complaining about the scheme when Buffalo’s defense played a key role in beating Kansas City this season?

If Josh doesn’t don the super man cape and bulldoze 5 KC Chiefs on his way to a 30 yard TD run, it’s likely Mahomes leads his team to a game winning TD drive.  The defensive schemes and play calling has been suspect all year.  They learned nothing from 13 seconds…this zone D is going to continue to cost the Bills SB trips.

How can he cost us a SB, when he's not even good enough to get us to one?  His failure to find better defensive talent has betrayed his own zone scheme.

It's one of the main reasons Mahomes has championships and Allen doesn't. For all of the Reid, Mahomes, Kelce hype the Chiefs defense is the one who is the backbone of the team led by Jones. The Bills need to build a bigger more physical defense. Similar to what the Steelers have. Of course, having a player of TJ Watt's caliber doesn't hurt.

The defense and Chris Jones are the real backbone of the Chiefs championship huh?  Kinda odd to say that considering Jones, Reid, and Kelce were all with the Chiefs before Mahomes got there and had won zero championships.

Miami is also ahead of Cincinnati. Miami closes with Cleveland and the Jets.

The last 2 weeks are again, 2 teams not playing for anything. These are the teams that are by far the ones willing to try these stunts. The team better be ready for any kind of high-jinx. That is of course unless we're in the sitting-our-starters mode.
