The Bills beat the Pats* because of you... (superstition/karma reasons)

How did your actions yesterday help the Bills to win?  Something you ate?  Did you change your shirt at halftime?  Your daughter was "feeding" her little person Josh figure during the game?  I’ll start…

 

I did my usual no Bills gear and playing on my phone while watching the game.  What kept it close though was I had offered one of my nieces some of my Bills gear to wear because she was thinking of going to the game.  Luckily, she did not go, but it was a close call there.  I will not offer people my Bills gear anymore.

At halftime, I purposely switched out of my Bills Santa hat and put on my regular Bills game-day cap. You're welcome!!!

I dressed the same as I have for all Bills games this year(once it hit October)...wore Bills shorts instead of sweatpants for the first few games when it was warmer out.

 

Allen jersey, Bills sweatpants, Bills socks, empty Bills wallet in my left pocket, Bills baseball hat turned backwards.

Usually when the Bills come out flat in the first half of football, I’ll turn the game off.  When I do that, the Bills play better.  So I turned the game off after the Pats went up 14-0.   You’re welcome!

... and at halftime I put my Bills Santa hat on top of my regular Bills game day cap!  The double hat really helped the defense.

I sat on a different sofa around half time. I was sitting in the spot when we beat the Lions but clearly that was not the best seat for yesterday. I have four other choices which I will unleash during the playoffs

More intriguing and less controllable is the supermarket/retail connection. Last week it was pre-game encounters with a Lions fan at Stop 'n Shop and a Bills fan at Kohls. Yesterday at Giunta's supermarket, random deli counter guy saw my Bills hoodie and hat and told me he had switched allegiance from Jets to Bills cuz he'd had it with the Jets circus. Good times.

 

I'm torn about next week. Different supermarket? No pre-game trip to the supermarket?  Both are out of my control - as are any fan interactions. Sometimes you just have to let the fickle finger of fate play out. Stay tuned.
