Bruffalo Posted Monday at 04:01 AM Posted Monday at 04:01 AM I think we'd be less impressed if he wasn't throwing against Baylon Spector, Elam, Cam Lewis and Ingram. That being said, there's a lot of potential there. 2 Quote

Goin Breakdown Posted Monday at 04:03 AM Posted Monday at 04:03 AM (edited) I'm not trying to sound like a negative fan. Buffalos defense is not performing well right now. We all know it. Maye took advantage of that like many have in the past. He looked good but im Not worried if our defense is built up/ healthy and so on. Edited Monday at 04:40 AM by Goin Breakdown 1 Quote

Maye is already playing very well behind the worst OL in the league, with zero weapons. This idea that franchises “ruin” good QBs is ridiculous. The HC is awful. They have zero weapons. Their defense has collapsed. Drafts are terrible. That's tough to overcome for the best QB ever. Let alone a kid headed into year 2. 1 Quote

And Buffalo isnt far from Cleveland. The proof is right under our nose. 1 Quote

Bills!Win! Posted Monday at 04:20 AM Posted Monday at 04:20 AM He’s a slightly better and more mobile version of Mac Jones Quote
zow2 Posted Monday at 04:28 AM Posted Monday at 04:28 AM Maye looked pretty good, certainly tailed off in the second half. If he starts burning the blitz, he won’t see it as much. I was expecting him to run more. I think he should figure out when to take off and get some easy first downs for the Pats. Quote

The proof is right under our nose. Who did the Jets ruin? Darnold and Wilson were lousy. Darnold is having a bit of a renaissance in Minnesota, with a great coach/OC and amazing weapons. He’ll be cut loose in February. Cleveland has certainly mismanaged the QB position but they haven’t ruined anyone. Quote

The proof is right under our nose. Your point is correct. But NFL history is also littered with high-potential quarterbacks who ruined themselves in spite of their teams' best efforts. Too many of these guys have been fawned over since they were 12 and told they were the best quarterback their school/area/state had ever seen. Too many of them had elite talent around them and rarely had to face their equals, in high school or in college. In the NFL, everybody is their equal or better. These are the best players in the world. To get to the next level as a starting NFL QB, much less a Pro Bowler, requires discipline and work beyond anything they've committed to before. Not everyone rises to meet that challenge, even if they have good coaching. Quote

Pasaluki Posted Monday at 06:41 AM Posted Monday at 06:41 AM He usually hits a few really good throws a game. Can't really ask for more than that from a rookie. He definitely has talent. Quote

Vrayo is also kinda funny, but not as funny as Mabel. Quote
MJS Posted Monday at 06:54 AM Posted Monday at 06:54 AM He looked really good to me. He dealt with a lot of pressure and was able to deliver the ball. He seemed to have poise. He throws a nice ball and is athletic. Pats fans should be excited. But, we've seen a lot of promising young QBs who end up not progressing. He needs to show in the next few seasons that he can grow as a player. The bar for rookies is a lot lower. What is impressive for a rookie is not necessarily impressive for a 5th year QB. 12 minutes ago, mannc said: And yet he’s playing well and showing no signs of being “ruined”. They still have a huge hill to climb. Quote

Hate to see it, but he seems like a good one… Exactly what I think. He doesn't seem to let mistakes or pressure get to him, and he's already accurate. Couple that with being a much more capable runner, and he's definitely got a lot of potential.... unfortunately. Quote
Behindenemylines Posted Monday at 07:56 AM Posted Monday at 07:56 AM If he gets a real HC and OC/QB coach he could be terrific. Seems to have all the tools Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted Monday at 07:58 AM Posted Monday at 07:58 AM He’s a tough kid. But our defense stinks right now. We better hope Cincinnati doesn’t get in. They will put up 50. Quote

Maybe a less robotic Herbert. We had a similar win against Herbert his rookie year if I recall correctly. He played well but had a crap team around him. I remember coming away thinking the Dolphins scouting staff effed up by picking Tua over him. 1 Quote
