What did you think of Drake Maye?

I'm not sure what to make of him yet.  Pats fans are over the moon w/ him.  His throw to Boutte was probably one of the best throws of the season from any QB.

 

But outside of that 1st drive - he was just kind of okay.  Threw a bad pick in the EZ, and then shouldn't have thrown that backwards pass to the RB.  

 

Still not really seeing it - but curious what the rest of you think.

He’s good and will be ruined by the Kraft families overconfidence in him being Brady 2.0. Brady was 1 of 1.

Looked like a rookie. Made a couple nice throws. Based on his facial expressions and the slight limp I'd guess that he got pretty beat up today.

Potential and skills are there. It's really how and if he takes the next level at this phase. 

 

He made some solid throws and can run decently.

His moving around in the pocket and avoiding pressure while still making positive plays shows how good he will be.

I thought he threw some really good balls with people in his face, although the pressure did start getting to him later.

His pocket presence is solid and if you ignore his feet, he can hurt you.

My guess would be that he's probably going to be a problem in a couple years.

He can move around a bit and looks better than say , Mac Jones. Not sure if he’ll be any good yet, too soon to tell I guess.

I’ve not seen near enough to speak confidently but he played like a toolsy guy that needs to take a few big steps forward. If he does he could be elite. If he doesn’t he could be will levis.

Like Josh Allen was, he's raw but talented. If he's coached up he'll be a problem for us.

He looks better than at least 10 other starting QBs now. Looks better than Caleb Williams.

INT in end-zone was inexcusable 

The backwards pass was ill advised. Probably should have not made the throw and just tucked and run.

Kid has always been accurate and that shows. He also does a nice job of staying calm and cool. Hate to see it, but he seems like a good one…

Agree. That pass he completed on Dorian Williams first flash rush in his face reminded me of the kind of flash that Rookie Josh Allen would have.  I'm not saying he's Allen 2.0 by any means. But the kid has that "it" that can't be coached. Get him a competent OC a line and some weapons and he's going to be an issue.
