Priority Free Agents for Buffalo? Early Draft talk..

For a team that was supposed to regress this year on the O-line, WR room and defense - IMO we have been better with out some of the "big name" guys

 

Diggs was just a relief to get off this team- I truly believe he was holding buffalo back with all his nonsense

I got a Cooper Jersey for Christmas so that means he wont be signed. The same person that got me this Jersey got me a Marshawn Lynch and a Tyrod Taylor  Jersey the year before they left. They all sit alone in the bottom of my dresser in mint condition because I only wore them once.

I’d say sign Cooper, and sign and draft as much as possible on the defensive side.

This is true and perhaps that’s the problem because McDermott really has never had a great 1 Tech.  The closest has been Star Lotulelei who was average at best and maybe DaQuan Jones for 4 games last season.

They don't really invest there in the draft that is the problem. They have only drafted 3 DT's in their what 7-8 years now. 2 of them were 3 techs(Oliver, Carter) and the 1 1 Tech was Harrison Phillips and they let him go. They just don't seem to want to put a premium asset into a 1 tech. Maybe that changes this year hopefully at pick 32

Tell me you have a Terrell Owens and a Takeo Spikes jersey along with a Tremaine Edmunds jersey so I can wash my conscious clean. These are the only players I bought while currently players since Kelly and none were on team 12 months later. This is why I have been borrowing my brothers Allen jersey for almost 2 years, I don't own it so no jinx.

What rush?   You saw the title and CHOSE to open the thread.

 

The more obvious question is why not? NFL personnel departments do this year round so there will inevitably be fans who will as well.  Roster building is a year round topic for the kind of Bills nerds who would post on a message board.  

 

Of the hundreds of Bills fans who live near me and I interact with regularly here in WNY I am the only one I know of who posts on TSW.   Even some pretty obsessed ones who have strong opinions.  This is a VERY small group of Bills information enthusiasts.   

 

It's all just entertainment......has no more real meaning than that........if it doesn't constitute entertainment to you then just don't click on it.

For this fan base, it's cold hard facts😆😂🤣. But onto the truth: I think they gotta try to keep him because they may have to go 100% defense this next draft.

As of right now, I’d keep the Offense in tact and offer Cooper a two year, but more team friendly deal.  If he wants more, so be it, but it would be good to have him as a bridge while Keon and another young WR develop (see below)

 

Id use one of the three Top 64 picks on a WR since Samuel is probably stuck on this team next year but is made of glass and Shakir is more of a want extension than a need for me.  He showed his limitations down the field against the Pats, but is still a very good short/intermediate slot receiver.   As long as his contract demands aren’t excessive, I would extend him, but you never know what his side thinks.  
 

Cook is a play out the contract a walk player for me, but I’ll admit he’s making that difficult.  
 

Rest of the draft & FA goes to the Defense. 
 

Id extend Rousseau but not really that interested in paying big money to Bernard or Benford.  What would Brett Veach do?  Well, he’s probably going to let Bolton walk and he’s already let go of good young corners. 

If Myles Garrett becomes available… tear everything up and figure out a way to get him on this team.

I'm down for signing Amari then go scorched earth on a 100% defensive draft. The problem is Cooper probably wants 18-20 and I'm not signing him to more than a 2 yr deal @ 30M.
