Success Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I thought the PI's on him were fairly questionable. One thing he didn't do - lose his guy. He was no deer in the headlights out there. Too handsy? You can make the case on that - but I thought the refs called it more than tight. 5 1 1 1 8 9 12 2 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This is why the Elam should play more stuff wont stop until he is off this roster. Then there will still be the occasional post here after he's moved on when he makes one play every half a season about how we should have never let him go. 1 Quote
Sojourner Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I get the complaints but don’t get the hate. The coverage is solid but he needs to start getting his head around as best as he can. He’s an ok corner. Not great, not terrible. Will give up some plays, will make some others. Can’t have blue chip talent at all 22 guys fielded as starters. 4 3 1 Quote

atlbillsfan1975 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago He can’t find the ball. He has poor ball tracking abilities. He will be gone after the season. I saw today what the coaches see every practice. 1 4 2 5 Quote

Coach Tuesday Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I agree. Generally he was in the right spots and while he lacks some awareness, the penalties were either bogus or severe underthrows. He needs to go somewhere he can play man full time. Should never have been drafted for this scheme. 2 1 1 Quote
Estro Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago If he could learn to snap his head around and locate the football he'd be alright. He's a frenetic CB, who seems to panic instead of just remaining calm and trusting his technique. You can see the raw talent, but his chaotic play at the mesh point explains why he plays so little 1 2 2 Quote
oldmanfan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Not horrible but the second call was classic PI. 1 Quote
Maine-iac Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I mean the biggest difference between him and Sauce was basically Sauce gets his head around more often with a fist full of jersey and Elam didn't. When I was watching Elam I was left thinking maybe he could play his way into being decent. Like if he was on the field more he'd tighten up the coverage a little bit and learn to get his head around and find the ball a little quicker. I don't think he's trash but you can certainly see why Benford and Douglas have always been the starters. 1 1 Quote

Not exactly what you expect from a first round pick with several years of experience. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I remember all those drought years, and we’d go to Foxboro and play Brady tough, but there was always that part in the game the Bills would be flagged for DPI or even multiple times to change momentum. Different era but same nonsense. 1 Quote

He was consistently putting his hands on his man down the field. He was more often than not with his back to the ball. The PI penalties were obvious fouls. Idk what game you were watching, but Elam was atrocious. And against the worst WR core in Football. 1 1 1 Quote

WRs had his hands on Elams waist the same way Elam had his hands on WRs shoulders. Neither effected the play 2 5 Quote
