Any W is better than any L.  So this at worst, the fourth suckiest game of the season.  But its remarkable that the Bills at 12-3, other than Josh Allen, no one can point out anything the Bills do exceptional well, (maybe the RBs, but unlike Barkely or Henry, I don't think the Bills RBs scare anyone if Allen is not there).

We need to get healthier, and for guys like Oliver and Rousseau to step up more than one out of every 3-4 games.

Rousseau forced two turnovers and led the DL in tackles today

He was something like 2/6 passing (last I checked) when we blitzed. He did well under pressure when we only sent 4. But during actual overloads? He crapped his pants. Like rookies do.

He actually mentioned after the game that he needs to get better against the blitz.

Again, he has a crap o-line and terrible weapons AND he is a rookie.

How do the Bengals look "inevitable" when their last two games are against the Broncos and Steelers?

My God man..take a step back off the ledge. Out of the 8 things you posted maybe 2 are very likely to happen. Chiefs with the #1 seed being one of them.

Allen's MVP odds went from -900 to -750...wow, what a way to "ruin" your chances.

Right. If anything the one game the Chiefs were always going to win ( even if they started Wentz ) was home vs HOU. Not saying they’re going to drop both road games , but they were never losing to the Texans.

- Every time we blitzed Maye, he folded like a cheap tent. He clearly could not handle the pressure. So what does Babich do in key moments? He rushes 4 and drops everyone back into a shell. WHY!? For fug sake, WHY? Make it make sense

Second half he had some issues with the blitz. First half he was killing them when they blitzed.

Yeah... this game just solidified my fears.

It always felt like Allen & the rest of the team chokes against weaker opponents, but then that fear was confirmed when I found out how badly the Bills play any time they're favored by double digits. This game just made it more obvious.

It's been that way for years now. Allen comes out flat. The team starts forcing things. Then penalties pop up everywhere. Then the inevitable turnover makes things worse. Before you know it, we're trying to climb out of a hole against a team that has no business being on the same field.

And all that against a rookie QB & rookie HC. Ouch. At least we kept our 2 game lead on the 2nd seed, but the chorus for "Lamar should be MVP!" will only get louder. Yeah, yeah, I know... some of you guys claim you don't care about MVP, and that the SB is the only goal. But I still care, and it'll be awful if all this year's efforts get brushed aside at the very end.

Allen came out so flat, the Bills were down by 14 with the Bills have only 1 possession into the second quarter

Boy, for having "the best fans in the NFL", there sure are a lot of miserable people here without anything good to say.

Didn't realize being a good fan means praising your team at all times even when their performance clearly doesn't warrant it. What a ridiculous comment

Refs were garbage.

I won’t even get into the ridiculous PI calls, but there were some atrocious calls.

Holding on Torrence was beyond bad

Offside on Smoot when the RT moved

Calling down by contact on a clear fumble that needed overruled.

Calling a TD when the ball hit the ground that was overturned

Maye actually made some terrific plays against the blitz on the first 2 drives including a dime TD pass.  Give him credit.  A couple PI calls did hurt the Bills, but that was bc Maye put the ball up when our DBs / LBs had their backs to ball.

i think it was smart that Babich changed it up and ran some plays showing pressure and then droppied out. In the 4th Quarter Bills brought the heat again which worked.

- The Bengals are a step closer towards that final playoff seed.  Looking at the schedule, this one almost looks inevitable.

No offense, but it's beliefs like this that makes Vegas happy.

The Bengals have an 8% chance to make the playoffs.

Even if they win out it only goes up to 26%.

Bengals play Broncos BUT the Colts play the Giants, and the Chargers play the Patriots, and the Dolphins play the Browns.

We play down to our opponent probably less than anyone in the league honestly.  It definitely happens,  but it happens to other teams just as often if not more.
When it happens, it’s a division game usually which is even more common among other teams

the bills have blown teams out freakishly often the last few years

W.  Yeah, wins suck.

I genuinely don’t understand how people think in this binary fashion.

As if a W or L is the only indicator that matters.

It’s like thinking “Drinking and driving must be okay, because I got home in one piece. W!”

And don’t get me wrong - you’re not alone. Many people feel this way.

But I certainly don’t.

Because I know that W’s and L’s are binary results of a small subset (60 minutes) of data against 1 particular opponent.

In other words, the W or the L is not indicative of how the team will play going forward.

However… HOW they played in that W or L may be indicative of how the team will play going forward.

Struggling to beat a 3 win team with a rookie head coach and rookie quarterback, while your best player hurts his hand, and his most reliable receiver drops and fumbles the whole game, and the ST’s coach craps the bad, and the defense struggles…. yeah that’s not binary.

The team is awarded the W but how they played still matters from a standpoint of “is this team good enough to win a Super Bowl?”.

To hide behind “got the W” is to live with blinders on.

I’d say it means not acting like the world is ending because we WON a game in the midst of a 12 - 3 season.

y’all can say this unit sucks, and that player sucks and this coach should be fired but we literally have one of the best records in the league, so maybe everyone need to calm down.

Fair enough. Oliver blew up the Lions Oline last week. But Pats pushed us back until we started sending more guys in the second half. It'd be nice to feel like you don't need to do that every week just to get a stop. This wasn't the Lions or Rams.
