I agree. They did and they did better stopping him. But running it limits Kenny's mistakes, runs the clock, shortens the game...and Barkley can easily still slip through and break one. 

 

The Eagles will win this one but it should have been over long ago.

Washington is stacking and packing and repeatedly throwing extra defenders into the A gaps on almost every down.

They had it beat with the dig but Devonta Smith dropped the game ender

Because many don't. There are casual fans that may not know the rules. Also, there are PLAYERS that don't understand the rules. 

 

For example, there was a game quite a few years back where the Eagles and Bengals (I believe it was Cincinnati) played an overtime game that ended in a tie. Donovan McNabb at the end of overtime let the clock expire rather than try a Hail Mary. When questioned, he said he never heard of a game ending in a tie. Thought there would just be another OT period.

Crazy. Washington have 5 turnovers on the day and they still have a chance to win the game.

The only reason why their in the game is because Hurts went out, Pickett is awful and they have been stacking the box. If Hurts plays this game the Eagles win by 20
