Allen playing with broken hand all along???

The glove has changed through the weeks...early on it clearly had some hard protection in it and his middle two fingers were fused together by the glove.  Now it looks like "just a glove".  I think he said something about liking the glove....

Allen stopped showing up on the injury report for his hand in week 13; 11 weeks should be enough for a break to heal, but maybe not enough for the bone to come to full strength thus still wanting to protect it.

 

 

*shrug* having had several hand and finger injuries that did not involve broken bones, but that did involve tendon damage and that were splinted for long periods of time like, 12 weeks....was clear there was a hand injury, was not obvious to me what the injury was.

 

 

Yeah, I don't know of a fracture that is treated only with a taped glove and while playing.  Was Allen's hand splinted for those 2 months other than on game day?

He was never seen wearing a splint in pressers or video around the facility.

 

But Allen just confirmed he played with a broken bone in his L hand in an interview.  I would guess the glove was specially constructed to provide splinting.  And maybe he wore a splint when the cameras weren't on?

If players on the other team know an area of your body is vulnerable they'll attack it.  Josh is a smart kid and knew that would be the case if he said his hand was broken.  The sad part is I actually believed him when he said he continued to wear the glove because he was superstitious.

For him to say his shoulder and elbow are a bit sore has me a little concerned, he is tougher than most so for him to mention it.... Rest him up as much as possible for playoffs

We know, because he was wearing a bionic hand cover after Week 1. I said, at the time, his hand was broken and now, 15 weeks later, he admitted it was broken.

 

They hid it and didn’t come out and say it was broken, because on a 4th and 1 QB sneak, they didn’t want to give the opposing teams any more reason to grab his hand and twist it. Like all teams do.

he put on a glove.  a giant glove and announced the hand was injured.  they were going to twist it anyway, no?  and what was the outcome of Defenders knowing his hand was injured?  It healed anyway, no?

So your argument is that he had a hand injury, they called it an unspecified hand injury for 14 weeks, and they are now lying that it was broken?

I'm saying it's an unusual treatment for a broken bone (oven mitt on game day only). 

 

and why not just say it was broken at the time?  the giant glove was a glaring red cape for any Defender to tee off on....yet they really didn't.  Defenders are always trying to take out a QB.  They don't need an injury report to give them the green light to do so (that doesn't seem to matter).

So just to be clear, you ARE arguing that are lying, for no reason, about it being broken now?
