sven233 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Hard to take away anything positive from this one. Just a "blah" type of game. I mean, the most redeeming quality of it was the win and, obviously, that is what ultimately matters. But there were some concerning injuries for sure. I mean, Allen said he's OK, but he always says that. Hopefully that's true. I did find one comment Allen made about the game interesting. I will have to go back and listen to the interview for the exact wording, but he almost made it sound like they went into this game with a somewhat limited playbook. He made some comment like there were some things to fix, but it was a fine line about doing things better and showing the complete playbook heading into the Playoffs. I mean, he obviously knows what they are and aren't doing more than we do, but the gameplan did look a little watered down today compared to what we have been seeing the last few weeks. There was some motion, but not a ton. You didn't see the WR screens and there were no designed Allen runs (good)! So, as "blah" as today was, perhaps some of that was by design. They figured they had enough in to win the game, which they did, and didn't have to get to creative to achieve that goal. So maybe, just maybe, there was somewhat of a reason for the outing we just saw. Hopefully, that was indeed part of the reason we weren't as sharp as we usually are. As usual. We were on skates all day and played catchup. The defense was useless again on 3rd down. Just relying on fluke turnovers and holding on for dear life. Zero pressure, can’t stop the run, every play that’s normal is whatever the offense wants. Penalties all over and an offense that sucked all year moving it at Will scoring more TDs then our offense. Our defense is our Achilles heel and has been since 2019 The fluke argument is ridiculous…the 7 consecutive stops capped off by the defensive TD was a huge part in the win. If a defense making plays is always a fluke it’s just not even worth arguing honestly. I didn’t say they’ve been good all year….they were straight up garbage at full strength against the rams you can just as easily turn this argument around and say the bills offense scored 17 against a pretty bad defense despite having great field position on a few drives 1 1 1 Quote
CincyBillsFan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The entire team was off today - it happens. KC had to go to OT to beat Carolina. Baltimore lost to Cleveland. Both the D & O at times played great and at other times played like crap. You can make an effective argument that both units won the game or God forbid had we lost that they both were responsible for the loss. In the NFL the difference between highly seeded playoff teams that make runs and those that don't is winning games like this. 3 1 Quote

From his post draft pressers, it’s clear that he takes a lot of pride in covering TEs. He was beaten a few times, but on first blush, he was always competing pretty well. Respectfully, I couldn’t disagree more with this. I thought he was regularly exposed and out of position. 1 Quote
RichRiderBills Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I think we would have faired better if early in, we would have been more focused on running and short YAC focused catches. Did not overall like Brady's playcalling tonight. 1 Quote
Success Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I hate that KC has this game every week, but when we do, it's "they're pretenders." 1 2 Quote

He has the physical skills to do it. He has the time in the system with good coaching. Seems like a problem between the ears. Anyhow it counts in the win column and let’s beat the Jets. I’ll give him the opening drive TD. He was in great position and just got flat out beat by a high level through and great grab. However there are a few other times your point on him is valid, and likely why McD has made every effort to keep him off the field Quote

It is also due in part to the fact that the Bills play these late season cold games differently then they do the earlier games. 1 Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago That was the Patriots A game. We managed to survive and advance. But this game will be harder soon if they keep improving. Quote

Don't forget KC & Det are a combined 27 - 1 against everyone not named Buffalo. Those two wins provide much stronger evidence that we will not be one and done in the playoffs then a close win against a divisional opponent. Quote

You had your offense sitting on the bench for the whole 1st quarter. They carried the team for two straight games and then have an easy opponent and come out starting like ass. ***** brutal Quote

I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t score again all game. I was mostly right until the end, but a lot of that had to do with self inflicted wounds. They beat themselves more than we beat them 1 Quote

What, I'm not sure. He's playing his worst ball imo. Spector is absolutely awful. I don't see anything there that project-able or capable of developing. And frankly I doubt Milano gives us anything moving forward. So it's down to Bernard & Williams with a bunch of bodies to back them up. We are in deep trouble defensively. 1 1 Quote

Our defense is our Achilles heel and has been since 2019 BAD take. Three punts, three turn overs and one drive that ended at the half came after the first two TD drives for NE. That is not horrible. Please erase your emotionally charged view and look at the stats and see that they kept NE in check. You omit that the defense was playing with second stringers. If you have not seen Maye play this season, this young guy is improving and looks to be a handful in the future. Once we get the guys healthy the Bills will be ready for any team in the playoffs. Coach Tuesday Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Is it me or has NE baited Josh into that same interception going back like four seasons now? Quote
