The Bengals can beat the Broncos next week and still have only a 4% chance if the Colts and Dolphins also win. Were you alive 23 months ago? Seriously though, they're the only team at least in the AFC that has an elite QB and two elite WR's in the NFL. Their defense, as poor as its been this year, traditionally rises up in the playoffs. If I had an order of preferred teams still in it from first to last it would be Colts, Broncos, Steelers, Dolphins, Chargers, Bengals, Ravens. 2 Quote

I always have since the days of Gino Capaletti, Babe Parelli, and Jim Nance. Fun fact: Babe Parilli was backup QB to Namath on the '69 Jets. He has more rings than Jim Kelly. Amazing how great Jim Nance has been in his second career as a play-by-play man. THAT'S A JOKE, YOU TROLLS. Edited Monday at 08:12 AM by Dan Darragh 1 Quote

Chandler#81 Posted Monday at 09:34 AM Posted Monday at 09:34 AM I’ve heard it stated often on numerous channels that the Bills essentially wrapped up the 2nd seed by beating the Pats. While I don’t know what ‘essentially’ means in this context, if the Chiefs wrap up the 1 seed on Xmas, sit everyone who matters. Screw 14 win regular season and undefeated record at home and in the Division. We’ve failed enough times in the playoffs because of attrition to our roster, go away for a while. Enjoy your families. 3 Quote

I was thinking the same thing. Instead of having a bye in the playoffs, let most of the starters sit that last game. 2 Quote
entropyrules Posted Monday at 10:08 AM Posted Monday at 10:08 AM Like most Bills fans i thought the refs were especially egregious this game. Two plays stood out to me. The first was the holding call on Torrence; not only was it not a hold but it was not even close to where the play went. The second was the failure to throw a flag for face guarding on one of Allen's long passes (I just can't remember who the receiver was) when they threw a flag for the almost exact same thing on the Bills. Is face guarding still a penalty? Serious question-I haven't kept up with any of the rule changes. 1 Quote

I think it was more a natural let down after a pretty brutal four game stretch than it being the Patriots (especially facing a whole new coaching staff and QB compared to last year). The Bills just seemed to lack the energy you usually see them play with and were kind of going through the motions. I think we smoke them in at there place if we're lucky enough to have a shot at the 1 seed at that point. 1 Quote

BananaB Posted Monday at 11:18 AM Posted Monday at 11:18 AM (edited) I’m so sick of this defensive system. No way NE should come in and hold the ball for about 15 of the first 17 minutes of play and score 2 TDs. The D is a problem, it’s always been a problem in big games and games like this makes you have zero confidence in the system and the player. I honestly don’t give a ***** about injuries, sick of that excuse for this unit. Edited Monday at 11:19 AM by BananaB 2 Quote

I don't know why they abandoned the run game so quickly. In Josh's defence, watching back without the emotion of the moment, he wasn't as bad as the passing game as it first appeared. Shakir and Cooper really dropped balls they should have had caught. But then, were throws and catches off due to the cold weather making it hard to handle the ball? And, if so, why wouldn't the run game be utilised? Brady has called so well over the past couple of games but yesterday was baffling. Though, as I say, if Shakir and Cooper had caught those balls would we be saying that? 2 Quote

I rewatched the condensed game afterward and realized that each of the Pats’ three TD drives was aided by one or more critical penalties, with the third drive being the most egregious example. And each featured at least one play where the flag came in way late, after the play’s result was known. This had all the feel of a Little League game where the ump shrinks the strike zone on the best pitchers and expands it for the best hitters. 1 Quote
