I liked the competitiveness that Bishop showed tonight. They had him matched up on TE’s a lot. From his post draft pressers, it’s clear that he takes a lot of pride in covering TEs. He was beaten a few times, but on first blush, he was always competing pretty well.

I could see that too…the defense deserves credit too though after that second td they went punt, punt, fumble,INT,fumble td,punt before that slightly ref assisted clock killing td drive.

Did Benford even play? Because New England didn't throw a single pass in his direction I don't think.

Rookie must be a fast learner in the film room.

The defense won the game today, friend.  Call it luck or whatever you want but they made the plays

I have just a hair over zero hope that they will do anything worthwhile in the playoffs.

Why do so many QBs play the game of their career against us?    Or at least it feels that way

There is something to this.  Stanford, Goff and now Maye were throwing absolute dimes three games in a row.  It’s a bit bizarre.

I'm not seeing a direct thread and I am currently traveling...

Where are we at with JA's hand(s).

I noticed every handoff on that last series were tossed. I know he snuck to end the game though.

That is ***** crazy lol the defense was horrible from start to finish. The only stops were turnovers. As usual. We were on skates all day and played catchup. The defense was useless again on 3rd down. Just relying on fluke turnovers and holding on for dear life. Zero pressure, can’t stop the run, every play that’s normal is whatever the offense wants. Penalties all over and an offense that sucked all year moving it at Will scoring more TDs then our offense. Our defense is our Achilles heel and has been since 2019

This is really out there.

The only stops they had were turnovers? Pats punted 3 times. That's 3 other stops. In addition to a great forced fumble and very athletic INT by Lewis. Patriots were just over 50% on third downs. Not ideal...but hardly "useless". And while there were plays we were gashed in the run there were also several stops in the backfield.

Zero pressure? May was hit a lot and Dorian Williams was gashing in Mayes face. Also that defense TD? Caused by Groots pressure on the lateral.

So your argument is because 2 of the upper echelon QBs had a good game and a guy who threw for 260 is a career game? I’m not saying they have played well, clearly they haven’t, but context is important

18 doesn't get much burn, and doesn't get featured, are they saving him?  We just don't throw outside the numbers.

Biggest issue today -- cool should have had 20+ touches.  That would have been a 2+ TD win if he did

It’s a W. Doesn’t matter how, just get it.

Fire Spector into the sun. He should never see the field again.

The Elam experiment is over. I was rooting for the kid but he will never get McD’s confidence. Just too handsy even though a couple calls were pure BS.

How does Smiley still have a job? He’s gotta go in the offseason. Our special teams suuuuucks when it comes to coverage/penalties/and now fake punts.

Burn those uniforms we look like old New England*

I’m concerned our D-line just isn’t good enough to get past the divisional round. This was one of the worst O lines in football and they were blowing our D line off the ball most of the game. We had to blitz to get pressure and made a rookie QB look like a vet. That’s a problem.

We are on to the NY JESTS

If - IF - the Bills are viewing these final games less as a "win at all costs" and more as a petri dish for various offensive and defensive concepts, I could maybe accept how much stuff was just DOA not working at all on both sides of the ball. But if it's something like changing the timing on your engine and starting to get detonations and getting your crankshaft (#17) banged up, I dunno.
