The Jets haven't made the playoffs in over a decade...the Bills have won the division the last 5 times..before that it was all Patriots. The Dolphins won the division once...  The AFCE has been week compared to the North

The Jets have been competitive up until this season. The dolphins have made the playoffs. The pats were competitive right up until BB left. We are comparing it to the AFCW. Not the AFCN

Ah. Think it's the same answer though, due to the common game against the Raiders. Steelers over Ravens for now.

You seem to be right.  Just said on Fox that if Pitt wins out they win the North.  So now they need to beat KC.

The only way to win a SB is by beating upper echelon teams. If we can't even get out of the divisional round again, we were never going to be SB contenders in the first place.

I will say adding that 7th seed has watered the postseason down. For the most part, the 7th seed has been getting beat bad.

It won't happen. But the league needs to go back to the 6 teams format. It was stupid to have only one team get the bye.

True, but having to play both Ravens and KC seems objectively harder than playing Pittsburgh and KC/Ravens.

The ravens can 100% go to the SB. Not sure how you can objectively say otherwise after watching this game. It’s a tough divisional matchup. Turnovers happen.

Pitt on the other hand, I just don’t see Russell cookin for 3 straight road games.

Because Lamar turns into La"Mew" in the playoffs and plays his worst football when it matters most. That's how.

When your most memorable postseason highlight is throwing a 101 yard pick 6, that doesn't speak too highly of what you've done there.

Missed the game. Are people going to be saying Jackson is the real MVP after this game?

They’ve already started. Anybody watching that game would know the MVP for the Ravens was Henry (or maybe Russell Wilson).

I watch these games the Ravens play and I am not sure Jackson is the MVP on his own team.  Henry, when he is running well, is absolutely just as, if not more important than Jackson to that team's success.  If you pulled Henry off that team right now, their chances of winning anything of significance drop dramatically.  Can you say the same thing if Cook went down for us?  I mean, I think we'd just throw Davis and Johnson out there and be fine.  But Henry means a ton to that offense and if he's not there, they would not be nearly as dangerous in my opinion.

I am not saying Jackson isn't great or isn't having a great season.  He is.  But it is so much different.  With us, Allen accounts for like 90% of our production on offense.  If you look at Jackson and Henry being on the same team, their production level and importance to that team are a lot closer than these Ravens fans want you to believe.  Even the TDs and yards Jackson got today were to guys that were WIDE open.  I mean, that one to Andrews I think anyone in the stadium could have thrown.  THey have a great scheme because of the pressure Henry puts on you and it just makes teams so concerned with him that they leave other skill players uncovered.

No question.

It would likely be:

Beat: Baltimore, KC, Det/Phi in that order to win a SB.

We are fully capable of doing it. Any SB champion has to beat great teams to win it all.

Am I right in saying we wanted BAL to win today (cuz of the 2 seed) but we want PIT to hold on to win the division?

If we discount our chances of the one seed, the playoffs could one end up like this if PIT wins the division:

rd one;

Buffalo beats denver

PIT beats LAC

BAL beats hou (though would love to see BAL lose)

rd two

BUF beats PIT

BAL vs KC

AFC championship:

BUF at KC or BAL at BUF

Jackson is a great player, having a great season.

But it's hard to imagine him winning a 3rd MVP when Allen has none.  He's not as valuable to that team as Allen is the Bills. It's close, but Allen carries this team more than Jackson carries his, consistenly.

I agree.

If Henry got hurt, they are in really bad shape.

Yes, I’ve posted a few times in the run up to our meeting that they weren’t bad. And at that point of the season they weren’t. Stats and metrics backed that up. That was 11 weeks ago. A lot can change in that period of time.

So I see, by you referencing “weren’t you the one” from 3 months ago that you’re annother one who is always right and uses any point to advocate it lol. I forget there’s people like you.

They’re a very average defense at this point in their season. I agree with other you there. But also nothing wrong with that if you have a productive offense. They don’t unfortunately for them.

Ok I can agree with that.  Someone told me last week that this they had a great defense and I disagreed.   So it wasn’t you.

I watched the entire game versus Miami and thought Tua bailed them out a bunch of time with poor play.   Everyone wants to pretend DeMeco Ryans is a great coach but despite having a lot of studs on defense as a unit they struggle when playing good offenses.  You’re gonna see Baltimore roll them next week too.

Besides the Jets, not team was more talked about as a contender than Houston and they just don’t impress me.

Do they look like they’re beating anyone? They’re losing out. Wilson killed them.

IMO since we’re talking MVP you have to consider have valuable that player is to their team.

Baltimore will probably win 12 games this season. If you take Lamar off of the Ravens, they still likely finish with 8-10 wins and a shot to fight for a playoff spot.

If you replace Mitch Trubisky with Josh Allen how many wins does Buffalo have?  Maybe a max of 6 wins.

There is no player in the NFL more valuable to his team’s success than Josh.

Much like Denver last season I think there’s a ceiling with Russ at QB when playing good teams.

I don’t think they beat Kansas City but weird things happen on a 3-day turnaround.

Part of the problem with that argument is no one cared before that actually votes.  Some have started to feel that way that Allen has done more with less, especially now with Diggs and Davis gone.

There is no doubt Jackson is a superb player and has had a terrific season. But, my goodness, plug any competent QB into that team tonight and they would have won - Tua, Stroud, Maye, Smith. I think even the likes of Levis and Winston would have found it hard to throw more than the one interception Jackson managed considering most of the time his receivers were all alone out there.

People may be saying such things, but probably not people that actually have an MVP vote.

I think Henry being on the Ravens will hurt Jackson's chances as many will argue at the least Henry made Jackson look much better.

So I'm rooting for Texans to beat Ravens and Pitt to beat KC on X-Mas

On the other hand if KC wins, then week 18 Bills can rest many players.
