Saturday Football Thread: PIT@BAL & HOU@KC (no Bills stuff please)

It seems like the league has figured out Stroud to some extent.  He's talented, but I'm not sure his skill set is so elite as to be able to overcome a good, smart defense.  Then you add in the injuries and Houston suddenly looks like an average team at best.

As long as the Bengals don't find a way to sneak in, I'm good.

Ideally we avoid that scenario and a Ravens divisional round. Not like we can't manage those games, but both teams have systems that can take advantage of us

Genuinely wondering if the Chiefs are doing harm to the NFL… I don’t say this in terms of ratings or popularity, but the level of rage I see against officiating in their games on Twitter/X from people that are just random fans or NFL accounts can’t be good for the league in the long run.

Which he qualified by saying I'm probably understating this....

To be fair, I kind of cringe when Romo goes goo goo over Allen.  It's like do you want people to hate him?  I'm one of the few who like Aikman the best because he doesn't gush over players.

Would love to hear the arguments for a ravens win vs a steelers win

It's obscene.

ABSOLUTELY NOT

(imo)

First off.. Ravens flock on social media are insane.

Second.. if you’ve given up on the 1 seed, like most of us have, we want the Steelers to clinch the North and steer us away from having to play both Baltimore and Kansas City.

Go Steelers

Ya, I don't think about it much. Imagine having to talk for 3 straight hours and not get into the trap of over gushing. Great players, it would be hard not to talk about them in that situation.

I don't fear the Bengals defense at all, but their offense is a different story.  They have so much fire power on offense that they can win in a shootout if need be.  These other teams like the Broncos, Chargers, Texans, etc, I don't feel like they can just score at will.

My guess is Chiefs lose on the short week, Christmas Day on the road at Heinz Field, and then pull out a last second win week 18 at Denver... Thus screwing the Bills out of the ability to rest their starters.

None of the week 18 start times are set it appears, so to ensure this, the league will almost certainly have the Bills play at 1 and the Chiefs late in Denver… Either way, the game being in Denver, it won’t be a 1pm start.

That sounds about right.

Don't forget the Ravens will win the AFC North, giving the Chiefs a cakewalk into the AFC Championship.

And no doubt the Bills will suffer at least one major injury during the Wild Card game.

Yes because if the Steelers win the East today they'll have little to play for against the Bengals since they wrapped up the division (besides seeding).

Texans have given some historically bad passing outputs, including us. But they just don't look right at this point. Broncos and Chargers just don't have the firepower.

Chiefs, Bills, Ravens....

That's the AFC playoffs.

NFC, Lions, Eagles, Bucs
