Saturday Football Thread: PIT@BAL & HOU@KC (no Bills stuff please)

Pretty sweet lineup today. 

 

I know there may be some benefits to Ravens winning (Steelers have more to play for vs KC etc) but I'm still rooting for Pittsburgh. 

 

I don't have much confidence in Houston but hopefully we get a Christmas miracle. KC already got theirs with Patrick's miraculous recovery from his "high ankle sprain."

I am 100% rooting for Pittsburgh today. Locks in Pittsburgh pretty much for the North and forces Baltimore into the WC. 
 

I know people are still holding out for the 1 but I don’t think it’s happening imo. 
 

With the Broncos remaining schedule I don’t think Baltimore lands in the 7 so I’m taking my chances here

Why is Baltimore winning better? Don't we most likely face them regardless in rd 2?

No the more likely scenario for facing them is if they win the North. If Baltimore ends up as the 6 seed and they beat the Steelers/Texans in the WC they would go to KC because the Bills would have beaten the 7 seed and the Bills would face the 4/5 winner

Ya, who knows how he'll even transition to T? Also messes up their elite middle of the line . Hopefully Hou takes advantage,  a loss for kc would be awesome,  then Pit next week and the Broncos, who should've beaten em last time and might be playing for a playoff birth

Definitely a good slate of games today.  I'll be able to watch the KC-Hou game but unfortunately won't be able to see much of Pittsburgh-Baltimore which is the game I would rather be able to watch.  Have some family Holiday stuff going on tonight.  The only downside to the NFL scheduling more and more games during non-traditional time slots

I mean Caliendo I think has been in their system. Morris has played guard in college. Maybe it gets worse but I doubt it. 

 

They have moved thuney to tackle before and he's held his own.

 

It makes their oline overall more mediocre, but also helps them avoid being a disaster.

You don’t believe that the Ravens could lose in Houston next week? The Texans play much better at home. The Ravens are no lock for the 5 and even if they are that doesn’t worry me anyways because I think the Steelers and/or the Texans can beat the Chargers at home which would still send Baltimore to KC

Guess I’m in the minority that think KC will need a sprinkle of that luck to win today?

 

just feel that they will lose this week and potentially next week against Pittsburgh - Denver won’t be a slouch either

Houston is in a weird spot if they lose. They can't drop further than the 4 spot. There's nothing to really play for if they lose today.

I agree Pitt or the Texans most likely advance and that would send Baltimore to KC. 

 

So it looks like it's highly likely Baltimore is going to KC Rd 2 regardless. Hmmm

Awoken a monster? Sorry, no one has been more overrated at center the last season plus than Creed Humphrey. Their interior OL is glazed because their exterior OL is so trashy. It's easy to look serviceable on the inside when your outside is the only focal point for a defense. 

 

Not only that Settle really didn't say anything that provocative.

 

Chiefs fans have made it them against the world in their delulu mindset that the refs and luck haven't favored them for over 2 years.

 

They are far more hateable than the Patriots. The Patriots cheated and the world knew it. The chiefs have had every bit of luck go their way and still think it is simply because they're that good. They also have had every favorable call for or against them in 3 years.

 

I almost wish Belichick coached in the NFL just to beat Reid. He always did.
