Tiberius Posted Sunday at 02:51 PM Posted Sunday at 02:51 PM (edited) Governmnnt shut downs, see what happens! Trump, SMH just unreal. Trump wins election and our military starts shooting at each other 🤷♂️ https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/u-s-navy-shoots-down-own-plane-as-fresh-strikes-target-houthi-rebels-in-yemen-7b6a4d27 Two U.S. Navy pilots ejected from their jet fighter over the Red Sea after being caught in “an apparent case of friendly-fire,” U.S. Central Command said Sunday, as American forces conducted a new round of attacks against the Houthi militant group in Yemen overnight. The military said the two pilots safely ejected from their F/A-18 after it was hit by fire from the guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg. The jet fighter had flown off the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and both ships are part of the same strike group. One of the crew members sustained minor injuries and an investigation is under way, the military said. The incident came as U.S. Central Command said its forces had conducted airstrikes against a missile storage facility and a command and control facility operated by the Houthis in Yemen. It wasn’t immediately clear if the friendly-fire incident and the U.S. attack on Houthi targets are connected. The Iranian-backed Houthis control much of northwestern Yemen. They have snarled international trade by attacking cargo ships passing through one of the world’s most important trade routes, in what the group describes as a campaign of support for Palestinian militants fighting Israel in Gaza. Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, a Houthi official, condemned the U.S. strikes. “These American terrorist attacks further confirm the lawlessness and criminal actions being carried out in the region,” he said on X. “Such reckless terrorist actions against Yemen will not stop the support for Gaza.” <----On Musk's terrorist friendly web place, formerly known as twitter Edited Sunday at 02:52 PM by Tiberius

Among the scrapped measures were restrictions on US investments in China, policy aimed at lowering prescription drug prices and rules clamping down on deceptive advertising of tickets for events, according to Politico. Meanwhile, the masses were too distracted by the drone news to focus on what was passed. It was a win for the democrats today but not so much for those who work and pay taxes. Hopefully things will change in the next few years. The people got screwed, because they spent a ton of money, that we have no clue if it will be used wisely. Over 1/10th of a trillion dollars on "disaster relief". Sure we had some disasters in the not too distant past, but that number is ABSURDLY high. Over $20B for struggling farmers. How can the farmers be struggling if no one can afford groceries? That's basically an admission that agriculture is now a 100% government subsidized entity, aka socialism. The tax and spend democrats won by getting everything they wanted, AND splattered egg on the GQP's face. The GQP's only win was once again convincing their cult followers, who believe anything they say, that they stopped the democrats from 'porking' up the bill. This was a lie, and the bill had the same spending it always had. Everyone with a brain should know that red states love pork just as much as blue ones. What should anger us ALL is that this spending benefits their donors more than it does the people. Edited yesterday at 09:13 AM by daz28 1

Had the Democrat apparatus that runs the Biden Administration approved the Carrier Task Force' appeal to the national command authority to allow more offensive actions against the Houthis many months ago, things might be a lot different in the Red Sea, but they refused.

Reminds me of two lists I saw of the top 10 corporate donors for each party in either 2012 or 2016, and 7 of the donors were on both lists lol. Not sure if that was accurate. But it wouldn't surprise me. 1

They screwed the people over to literally make the bill look 'smaller'. Miniscule spending cuts or offsets. That's why the "rinos" still hated it, and the dems loved it.

Friendly fire happens, glad no one was hurt As it happened, the ejection happened when they realized the friendly missile was tracking them. If they had waited, they would have been killed, as the SM2 is a huge warhead missile. They were also on final approach to the ship, so all their defensive countermeasures were off, and they would not have the airspeed to duel it. A huge amount of "stuff" going on at the same time, and they fired two sm2's, and might have gotten his wingman, who was a few miles behind, also preparing to land.
