So I guess I'll be that guy.  If you go out to eat and order a soda, what would you expect to pay at a typical casual sit-down restaurant?  $3.49 is typical now - double that and you get $7, which is the pricing you'll find at many stadiums across the country.  Beer is similar - it's $6-$7 for a typical premium domestic like Blue Moon and you'll find it around $14 at the stadium.  I expect to pay about double at a stadium than I would in the "real world" for the identical item... and that ratio still seems to be holding from what I've seen.

I don't excuse it, but I also think it's indicative of wider scale inflation.

$3.49 usually gets you free refills

Inflation has given businesses a great cover to just hike up prices. Consumers barely have any idea what is a fair price at this point. I doubt many of these inflation blamed price increases are real or even close to relative. Sure we could just stay home. It's just got out of hand.

Did you ever stop and google the price of something before you bought it on Amazon? That platform makes a mint off consumer naivety. Some things on there are market price, but many things are insanely expensive if you bother to look. Pretty sure my wife and I are going to have to put off retirement a few years due to her blindly paying the Amazon upcharge on everyday sh!t.

I remember in the 80's growing up in WNY. Hills had 10¢ (or was it 15¢?) hotdogs and 5¢ sodas one day a year. That was super cheap, even back then. My grandfather took me there and told me to go hog wild. He kept on asking me if I wanted more hotdogs, lol. I was full, but got one more to make him happy.

(And the location will remain undisclosed because sometimes Bills fans give me a hard time when I say where.)

He can't. The Bills are one of the lowest-valued franchises in football.

The only Hills I remember was in Jamestown NY.  Down near Evan's Skateland.

The Sabres should do this next

Let's do the math: 300 fans in attendance total each spending an average of $6 looks pretty nice

Innocent question... what's technically the difference between a hot dog and a vienna sausage? Also what's the smallest hot dog roll currently being manufactured?

Now that I've cracked the code on $2 hot dogs, about those $2 bags of popcorn...
