T.E. Posted Friday at 09:04 PM Posted Friday at 09:04 PM Dropping beer prices might ironically cut down on drunkenness. I'll bet a lot of fans wouldn't hammer down 10+ beers in the parking lot before the game even starts if they knew they didn't have to shell out $15 bucks for each one they ordered in the stadium. 2 1 1 Quote

chongli Posted Friday at 09:12 PM Posted Friday at 09:12 PM (edited) I remember in the 80's growing up in WNY. Hills had 10¢ (or was it 15¢?) hotdogs and 5¢ sodas one day a year. That was super cheap, even back then. My grandfather took me there and told me to go hog wild. He kept on asking me if I wanted more hotdogs, lol. I was full, but got one more to make him happy. (And the location will remain undisclosed because sometimes Bills fans give me a hard time when I say where.) 7 minutes ago, LabattBlue said: Pegula wouldn’t do this in a hundred years. transient Posted Friday at 09:38 PM Posted Friday at 09:38 PM The concessions at Mercedes Benz Stadium in ATL are actually pretty sweet. I haven't gone for a Falcons game, but I've been to a handful of ATL United games. Prices are reasonable, the concourse is spacious and walkable, given that Coca-Cola is local all of the soft drinks come with free refills, the quality of the food is pretty reasonable for a stadium (it's absolutely gourmet if you're using the dog food that's served at Highmark as a comparison), and the beer is reasonably priced. A family can get by with a similar budget to going to the movies (ticket price notwithstanding). My wife is from NOLA and wanted to hate the place, but she absolutely loved it. On top of that, much of the building is powered with solar energy, so it has the smallest carbon footprint of any stadium in the country, apparently. 1 Quote

Charles Romes Posted Friday at 10:02 PM Posted Friday at 10:02 PM They have concession prices like this at the Masters. It’s a main reason why everyone attending believes Augusta National is a fantasyland. Quote

sullim4 Posted Friday at 10:16 PM Posted Friday at 10:16 PM So I guess I'll be that guy. If you go out to eat and order a soda, what would you expect to pay at a typical casual sit-down restaurant? $3.49 is typical now - double that and you get $7, which is the pricing you'll find at many stadiums across the country. Beer is similar - it's $6-$7 for a typical premium domestic like Blue Moon and you'll find it around $14 at the stadium. I expect to pay about double at a stadium than I would in the "real world" for the identical item... and that ratio still seems to be holding from what I've seen. I don't excuse it, but I also think it's indicative of wider scale inflation. Quote

Sabres charge $10 for a 16oz labatt blue when a 6 pack is $8. 2 minutes ago, klos63 said: How much did you put towards the stadium? You went on $18 beer night.
