BillsFan130 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Denver completely botched that 2nd of half sequence. Just gave them 3 points Quote

It usually happens at end of half or end of game. Houston could have tried this against buffalo with the situation of buffalo deep in their end stvthe end of the game creating an uncontested kick. Sierra Foothills Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I've been aware of that rule but that was the first time I saw it come into play. That's gonna give the Chargers a lift... as Payton said the Broncos are gonna have to be ready because the game changed complexion a bit. Quote

On a punt if you call a fair catch you can do a "fair catch kick." Edited 14 hours ago by Doc Brown 1 Quote
Governor Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Bass would line up and kick it through the wrong posts giving the other team 3 points. Quote
Blank Stare Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I looked up as they were setting up for that free kick and was like: 1 Quote

If you fair catch a punt you are allowed to do a free kick to kick a FG. This can be done whenever you fair catch a punt, but obviously most teams don't want to kick a FG in first down so it's primarily used in end of half situations. Defense must line up 10 yards back and you kick from the spot of the fair catch, no need to snap the ball. 1 1 Quote

Chargers punt returner had his fair catch interfered with, which is a 15 yard penalty and an untimed down since the clock was at 00:00. LA elected to try a free kick instead of a hail mary. 1 Quote

Fair catch was called Iirc technically you can attempt a free kick any time you call a fair catch Just rarely happens because most fair catches occur outside FG r as nge Quote
Big Turk Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Now all I need to see is a one point safety, a play that's never happened in the NFL but has a few times in college.... https://youtu.be/iByzIB7103M?si=kpgpF3diypzve2PZ 1 Quote

PonyBoy Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago "Taking the team from San Diego to Los Angeles would be roughly like taking the Bills to Rochester. I'd be pissed off but I'm not sure I'd abandon the team... and if they still had Josh I'd still cheer for the team." Trust me, having lived in the area LA County, Orange County hates San Diego County and vice versa. I mean hate. LA thinks San Diego people are a bunch of bumpkins stereotypically. If Rochester had an NFL team and Buffalo did, it would be the same way. Same with Dodgers and Padres, close in proximity, but zero love lost for each city. 1 Quote

Can fair catch a kickoff too Part of the reason why they kick on side kicks into the ground instead of a really high short one Quote
