I actually think this paves the way for the colts of all teams to make the playoffs. Per me playing around with the espn playoff machine.

Colts win out

Bengals win out

Broncos lose out

Colts are in

I feel like someone just needs to tell me the most likely playoff seedings in the AFC after this. I'm too confused.

I suggest not fretting too much about it, save for curiosity. There are still too many scenarios and it will make your head hurt if you try to play them out in your head

Why do kickers never try and chip it high in the air to give their guys time to get underneath it?

The other team can call a fair catch if you do that. They used to slam the ball into the ground and have it pop straight up. Not sure why that fell out of favor.

Ah yeah. Good call. Forgot they can field it

Colts could sweep their final 3 with some competent football but with Richardson you never know.  They could also lose to anyone.

I think this happens.

Colts play titans, giants, and jags.

Broncos play KC and Cincy.

Cincy plays Denver, Pittsburgh, and browns.

Definitely possible. Pittsburgh could be resting starters Week 18.

You kind of want to see Baltimore beat Pittsburgh this weekend thereby keeping the Steelers putting out max effort vs KC and Cinci

Yup — if we’re rooting for the one seed above all else..

Go Texans (obviously)

Go Ravens

Next week, Go Bengals

Ensures that all of KC’s opponents are playing for something.

A lot of folks here like to dump on Herbert…that was a heck of a game by him.

For good reason… but this was the type of performance in an important late season game against a solid opponent with playoff implications and he got it done, he deserves some credit.

Bengals are getting the 7 seed. You can see it coming from a mile away.

They will beat the Broncos at home next week which will guarantee meaningful week 18 games for the 7th seed .

Chiefs will beat the Broncos and Bengals find a way to beat the Steelers. Colts win out. Their schedule is easy but Colts are not a good team so it will be difficult for them to take full advantage of an easy schedule.

They lost both games to the Ravens by a combined 4 points.

The reason people dump on Herbert is because he plays like this once every ten games.

Physically he's fairly close to Josh but he disappears for long stretches.

And did you see him crumple along the sidelines after being hit at the end of that nice scramble?

It was like he'd stepped off the curb and been blindsided by a metro bus... and not a 190 pound defensive back.

I guess we're all just spoiled.

Nearly every game they played has been one score or less and had they won a few more of them they would be a top seeded team. The defense is total trash but they can do whatever they want offensively vs us. No thanks.

This.

Does anyone think our defense will step up?

If they don’t, Burrow and that Offense would go nuclear on them and if our Offense slips up once, it could be game.

I’d have more confidence playing KC…

Agreed. I actually think the Steelers probably will lose out. They won’t have Pickens this week against Baltimore. Then they play KC and a tough division game against Cincy.

Maybe have the Ravens win 6-3 with Lamar throwing five interceptions.

Yeah.  I'd rather face KC than the Bengals.  You saw what our defense looked like the last time a team had two #1 WR's.  Got smoked in LA.
