Hopefully the Bills are ready to make an offer. It’ll be between us and the Ravens I believe.

We need him.

Probably feel he goes back to Baltimore. The connection is already there, he’s always spoken highly of Harbaugh and Bisciotti.

he would be subject to have to go through the waiver wire.

Would he?  I thought it was less than 4 years accrued you are subject.  Or am I thinking the opposite?

Everyone at this stage of the season is subject to waivers

Oh, so Baltimore would have priority.

Baltimore finished after the Bills last season so we would have priority if he were subject to waivers.

What I'm looking at is buffalo is 28 and baltimore is 30th in claim order.

Interesting.  For some reason I thought the order changed based on in season performance.  Guess I was wrong.

So does he just turn down offers from other teams ahead of us, like some team with a possibility but not eliminated? Can he do that due to his tenure? That’s like picking a team. Might as well be a FA if that’s how it works. What am I missing here?

I imagine his agent can make it known there are only certain teams he will sign with at this stage in the season.

Still, claim him and block him from another contender.

if I am the browns, I don’t care and I claim him. Payback to Baltimore for stealing their team.  😁

I didn't think so either until I looked.  Also, doesn't Campbell fit the vested veteran so he's not subject to waivers?

Honestly, it’s pure BS that a player can be released to join any team at this stage.

Why.  You would see all sorts of stupid ring hunting if you let players do this.  You want more players to drop to play for the chiefs or the Brady Pats?  Nah Im good with them not being able to get more cheap talent (yes i know this hurts us cause JA17, but it would still make the game worse imo).

I think that's right.  And I would imagine for a guy at his level, at this stage of his career, teams would honor that and not make a waiver claim just to keep him from going to another team.
