I took josh at +850 for mvp at beginning of the year, so I hope it’s clear where my bias falls.

But, to be fair, Detroit’s D has been decimated by injury. That wasn’t  the best D in the league that trotted out there on Sunday.

The optics are what they are though on the two performances. They weren’t any more decimated than most teams at this point of the season for the majority of the game. They suffered 2 key defensive injuries during the game that will Moreso affect them going forward. It was the #1 ranked team in the league going in. And obviously worlds better than the NYG.

People seem focused on how Detroit looks after the game with the additional injuries like that's how they looked going into and all game, but reality is those injuries spanned the game and they weren't stopping the Bills at any point.

It's like that defense was holding up pretty well despite some big injuries then they ran into the Bills Offense and:

POW.  But will be POY in time.  I am sure the Lamar fanboys will be whining about this one.

We can only hope.

If there's one thing this season has taught me, it's that I don't hate the Chiefs or their fans nearly as much as I thought. But the Ravens? Their fans are AWFUL & incredibly whiny!

Aside from winning the Super Bowl, the thing I want most is to see the Ravens go one-and-done in the playoffs. I'm an S-rank Ravens Hater now.

It's weird that such a talked-about award is shrouded in such secrecy.

Looking around the internet it appears that the POW awards are simply announced by the league office... but no one knows who decides the winners...

Allen’s performance was more impressive because it was against the NFC 1 seed and Lamar’s performance was against the worst team in the league.

I think it simply came down to that.

Oh man, Ravens fans will be throwing full on temper tantrums after they believe Lamar Jackson had the greatest game in sports history. And he didn't even win player of the week 😆

Good thing it was regular season and not playoffs or it wouldn't have even counted.
