Aller is a bum.  So many missed throws and putrid decision making.  I don't think his WRs are great by any means but he doesn't elevate them at all.  Somehow he looks worse today than he did as a true freshman.

My Doctor has confirmed that I have an incurable case of Drew Allbatross fatigue.

He had improved this year over his freshman year, but today he reverted.  He needs to stay in school.  He has a lot of maturing to do.

As a true frsehman he came in a few times for Clifford and immediately the offense was clicking.  He was throwing on schedule, hitting open guys, and PSU had an actual deep passing game.  Perhaps becuase that roster had some real NFL talent at WR. This year, most of his completions are due to play design.  He is not reading the field and finding open guys.  There is no progression.  He locks on to a target and then forces passes.

I hardly ever watch college football but it seems like every time I do when the backup QB comes in the offense becomes unstoppable

And the opposing  defense acts like they’ve never seen a football. Could happen tonight… is it Arch time?? I think he will play some of the game.

I think the lack of WRs on the Penn State team really held Allar back.  Outside of Warren and the RBs, he had no one really to throw to this year.

Penn State Homer here.  Love Drew.  He pours his heart out to the team and the university.  He has all the tools.  At times, he reminds me of Josh Allen.  At times, he reminds me of Christian Hackenberg.   Which Drew will show up any given day is a crapshoot.  Hackenberg showed up yesterday.  I dont know what to think about him right now.  I know he will give it all he's got next year.  Hope it clicks.  He has high potential....but anyone who just saw last nights game is right for thinking he looks massively over-rated.

Oh - and that WR room is #$%^.  Zero catches yesterday.  They have been bad all season (2 seasons actually).  For all the awesome recruiting the team has done at RB, TE and OL...for some reason they just stink at getting WR talent anymore.  Gotta be the worst WR group in the Big10, and maybe in a Power 5 conference.    So you have to figure that out somehow...

Week to week, there was minimal consistency in who was lining it up at WR it seemed.  I can recall maybe two targets for Wallace III.  Was Omari Evans even in the lineup?  PSU passing game has been pathetic since Dotson went pro.

What’s the word with Julian Fleming. He was the #1 overall WR recruit in his class. I saw he was playing last night but was only half watching the game and fell asleep ngl. Did he do anything this year? Did not notice if he was playing when you guys played Ohio State.

He had some big clutch catches against USC.  Otherwise...nada.  14 catches for 180 yards on the season (and 60 of them against Kent state).  Big disappointment.

It's really crazy.  They had Dotson, KJ Hamler, Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin, and some others....but then it just suddenly stopped.  There isn't a single WR on this team that will sniff an NFL roster.  They have tried the transfer portal a few times and came up with nothing.  I'm just at a loss.  You sign a 5 star cream of the crop QB (allegedly - back when he was recruited), yet no WR to support him.  I just dont get it.  WRs should be begging to come and play with a guy like Allar (3 year ago...maybe not today!)

That, and injuries, basically summed up his osu career as well

I’m going to need a vacation after this game and last night. Either that or rehab.

And I’ve been feeling greedy…….

SEC should be renamed LOL

Everyone can pay their players now. The SEC’s habit of funneling money to their players through churches isn’t going to win them games anymore.

I mean, okay ... Ohio State won all the games in the playoff, so they're the champions.

But it rings hollow: they lost two games this year, didn't win their conference, and lost to their rival.

I really don't like this playoff format

No.

No it's not.

Hilarious take. I assure you it doesn’t ring hollow to anyone. The two losses were by a total of 4 pts. They handily beat both teams that were in the conference championship, so let’s use common sense on how much that matters. Beating a rival in the reg season has never been a requirement to win a national title and never will be. Georgia lost to bama on the regular on the road to their titles, wgas. it would be like the bills losing to Miami at the end of the regular season and then winning the SB and thinking it rings hollow 😆
