Willyville Guy Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Time stamp: 21-0, 2nd quarter, Bucks just went for and got a 4th and 4 OSU fans are chanting SEC SEC SEC. Are we back? 1 1 Quote
YoloinOhio Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 Why do they keep rolling this kicker out there. Literally anything else is a better chance to score. Quote

Orlando Buffalo Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 It is becoming apparent 12 teams is too many, so maybe we go to the smart version all along, 8 teams, 5 conference champs and 3 wild cards. The lowest rated conference champs don't get a home game, but the first round is at home for rest of conference champs. This way everyone deserving is in every year but the last 4 likely will never belong. I will bet the champ comes from the top 3 seeds and the top wild card 90% of the time but one unlikely bounce in an entire does not kill your chances. Quote

US Egg Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Did not know of the “sweet 16” plan. Would think yesterdays games hurt ratings and exposed the disparity. Also, wouldn’t more games means more head to head days with the NFL? Don’t know how good of an idea that was to begin with. Maybe the NCAA thinks yesterday was an anomaly. Quote

Maybe the NCAA thinks yesterday was an anomaly. More games = more money. Even when there was only a 2 game playoff with the BCS, there were more blowouts than close games. I don’t think this idea of the expanded playoff was predicated on the games being close. Even this past weekend, The biggest blowout was the 8-9 game with the big brands. I don’t think they care that much about nfl overlap. People will still watch. Also we’ve only been through one round. The first upset that happens everyone will be back saying see what can happen when you let in the boises and ASUs. Now I don’t expect it to happen, but with rested teams coming off of Byes and neutral sites coming up you never know. Edited December 23, 2024 by YoloinOhio Quote

ControllerOfPlanetX Posted Wednesday at 01:30 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:30 AM PSU (and we know what the P stands for)…gets a walk over while the the two best teams OSU and Oregon have the fight it out, the committee needs to get this straight going forward. 2 Quote
SirAndrew Posted Wednesday at 01:34 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:34 AM (edited) Nice drive from Boise. PSU fans need to take it down a notch, they’re talking like it’s the 85 Bears. Edited Wednesday at 01:37 AM by SirAndrew 1 Quote
jkeerie Posted Wednesday at 04:59 AM Posted Wednesday at 04:59 AM My alma mater, Penn State, prevailed, although there were times I thought the OC was trying hard not to win. Defense played well. Boise State played a good game. PSU needs to straighten out the offense and the penalties. They won't get by either Georgia or Notre Dame with those stupid trick play calls. 1 Quote
