Sweats Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Honestly, i wouldn't want to be anywhere near the bottom of those piles...........i'm delicate and i used to be a good-looking guy at one point, so i'm sure they would have been passing me around like candy down there. 4 Quote

muppy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago the attempt to make a player release his hold on the ball at the bottom of that pile doing unmentionable things surprises me zero. All decorum goes out the window. I give him credit for hanging on. Even if unintentional whoever has the ball is going to be abused. I would be shocked if it were done with intent to injure. its the Ball they want not his you know what's I think Quote

Doesn't make it right. It is still sexual assault and needs to be investigated by the NFL and police. 2 Quote

The idea is if they can get you to lose your focus, their teammate gets the ball. If they can't, they get you mad enough at them you you'll come out of the pile swinging and they get 15 yds. But you know, I thought Detroit left early and should have had a penalty. Am I the only one? 32 minutes ago, muppy said: the attempt to make a player release his hold on the ball at the bottom of that pile doing unmentionable things surprises me zero. In his 2005 book "Romo My Life on the Edge" Bill Romanowski recounted how he once broke another player's finger while in a scrum pile. 1 Quote

Cray51 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago My brother had a play at the goal line in HS where a small pileup happened. As the ball carrier, he proceeded to be punched in the man zone repeatedly for about 10 seconds. Protected zone or not, he said it was not a fun time down there.... and that was in the 2nd quarter! Couldn't imagine a fight for an onside kick. 1 Quote

I'm not sure what you mean by "protected zone", but assuming you mean your bro was wearing a cup, it's notorious that in the NFL, players don't wear cups anymore. I don't know why, but apparently if you show up in an NFL locker room with a cup, you face immense ridicule. 16 minutes ago, Livinginthepast said: Rugby is even worse. Have friend whose son was elite rugby player in HS and club player in college and afterwards. Plays wing. He also played WR on a championship winning football team in HS. Can confirm.
