I hate to get you on a technicality, but I think we're talking two small monsters here. And I'm ok with that. Do you Korean chicks have a weird way of adding extra lines before you type? 1 Quote

I mean Shakir fine, but Taron Johnson has been a small monster. I think Taron is - by impact and by proven ability - the second best player on the Bills. That said, he did miss four games hurt this year, after going out early in game one and last weekend vs the Rams was probably his worst beatdown as a pro. Now Nacua is a stud, so no disgrace in that, but when you factor all that in I don't think he can have been the second best Bill when you look across the season. I think: Benford first half of the season, Brown since halfway. Either of those are my answer but Cook, Shakir and Rousseau have legit claims too. 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago This is a tough question. I voted Dawkins because I think that the OL has been the 2nd best player on the team. More specifically, the tackles have been elite. I picked the guy responsible for Josh’s blindside. 1 Quote

I mean Shakir fine, but Taron Johnson has been a small monster. He’s not wrong. Taron is invaluable. Here’s how I’d rank everything after the clear #1 2. Shakir (clutch city) 3. Our starting 3 corners (Taron, Benford and Douglas are exceptional corners when healthy and cover up a lot of the flaws on our D) 4. O line and RBs (cook leading the charge) 5. TE room (don’t want to jinx Knox but he’s catching the ball in key moments!) 6. Bernard (and a healthy Milano) 7. Unselfish WR room 8. Codrington has been reliable Biggest flaws: McD decision making in key moments and inability to adjust his D Special Teams coordinator is absolute trash. Why do we invest so much in special teams The bass investment. The roller coaster is unbearable. Yes he makes big kicks but wouldn’t it be nice if he made the easy stuff so we wouldn’t HAVE to make big kicks later Hamlin needs to be benched. We can’t have Rapp and Hamlin on the field at the same time. I give Rapp a pass because he makes a lot of big plays with his reckless play but neither is even average in coverage and Hamlin may be the worst in the league. 1 Quote

You're English, I happen to speak the language. I grew up very much around the game from the moment I was basically born. I grew up in the Cowboys training camps. Staubach, Pearson, Jones, White, Dutton, Harris, Martin, Waters, DuPree... the list went on forever - what an amazing era of football team. Under Tom Landry, they never lost an opening day game. When I was a kid, you thought those players would be YOUR players FOREVER but then some of them retired... GASP and then the rest of them retired. Glad you found the game. If somehow you could go back and watch the 1970's Raiders, every game front-to-back, you'd get some better context, and a whole 'nother view on what this game is/was. Cheers! Quote
BillMafia716ix Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Benford is playing at an All Pro level 1 Quote
BringMetheHeadofLeonLett Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Before I get busted - been a Bills fan going back to Ferguson, Freeman, Cribbs and Lucius Sanford. 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I'm surprised only 15 percent voted benford. Hes playing at an all pro level. For me it's either Dawkins or Benford, but would say Benford 1 Quote
jwhit34 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Shakir, Cook and Rousseau are very good players, but Benford is markedly above them all in terms of value to the team, performance compared to the rest of the league and the drop off between them and their replacement. All 3 are ranked statistically in the teens in their position group, Benford is most likely top 5. His advanced metrics are outstanding. Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Really tough to choose between Cook, Shakir, and Benford. And while it's not fair to the individuals, the entire OL as a unit has been elite. What a year to be a Bills fan!! 5 minutes ago, BillsFan130 said: I'm surprised only 15 percent voted benford. Hes playing at an all pro level. But even so, dude is still making plays all over the field. 1 Quote
atlbillsfan1975 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago We haven’t had a back like Cook since Thurman. Cook is more explosive than Thomas. This offense is different now that defenses must account for players all over the field who have the speed and elusiveness to break long runs either out of the backfield or after the catch. Benford is just below Cook for me. Benford is playing elite corner and will need to be prioritized in the offseason for an extension. Beane isn’t allowing both of the cornerbacks from that draft to leave the building after their rookie contract expires. Quote
BearNorth Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago O-Line as a grouping is probably next after Josh. Individually they are middle of the pack, but as a group they have quietly become one of the most effective units in the league, and are trending upwards the last three games. They have really done a great job and lead the league in fewest sacks allowed. I would rank the individuals in this order after #17 Benford Rousseau Shakir Cook and Kincaid as an asterisk, due to him missing so much time. 1 Quote
The Jokeman Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I voted Cook since he running harder and seemingly faster this season. Toss in his abilities in the red zone have been great. His stats are limited because of the other good RBs we have to spell him and of course Josh's running. 1 Quote
wnyguy Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I went with the human pinball - Shakir. That guy bounces around after the catch gaining yard after yard, fun to watch. 1 Quote
boater Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Poor Cooper. I'd like him to produce on the field commensurate with his contract, but it is what it is. Maybe his presence allows other receivers to elevate their game. Maybe. The passing game has been lit when he plays. 1 Quote
eball Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago If there was a choice of “starting OL” that would be my pick. 1 Quote
