Imagine beating the Mahomes-less Chiefs?  We'd NEVER heard the end of it from their fans.

We are not playing KC in the next few weeks...so I would rather he sit and hopes we can catch the 1 seed so we can beat Mahomes in Buffalo in the AFCCG

Mahomes was a full particpant in practice.  He pulls this crap every year.  The attention starts to fade and he suffers a "devastating" ankle injury.  The trainers don't even bother to help him off the field anymore.  They just let him limp off with a couple linemen that help him play the injury up.  The trainers just put a little yellow tape on his ankle so everyone can see it, and pretend they believe him.  It is sad and transparent.  Unfortunately the national media play along and talk about his toughness and drive.

Yep. If it was even a mild high ankle sprain he wouldn't be practicing. This is more BS. 

 

He's doing this so if he loses the narrative will be " yeah but he was hurt nonsense"

You have to ask yourself…..exactly what do the Chiefs or Mahomes accomplish by faking an ankle injury? If your answer is nothing, you are correct.

I'm pretty sure it's just Mahomes playing it up so Nick Wright and Collinsworth can blow their wads at how great and fantastic he is to make it back onto the playing field after such a devastating and horrific injury.

I wonder if it isnt the best thing for the Bills... not necessarily for him... is for him to keep playing on it... because HAS need rest to recover... if he is continually on it this is an injury that will probably linger for weeks and weeks...

Saul can correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like the last time this happened he looked noticeably hobbled in the games…he still won so nobody noticed maybe but I doubt he would go to that length for an incremental increase in personal glory 😂

The only thing more dangerous than a health Mahomes is a "hobbled" Mahomes. No matter how hurt he is, if Mahomes plays, chances are the Chiefs are still the favorites.

It could also be so he plays it up to his teammates, that they see him playing "hurt" so it motivates them to fight through their ailments

I don't care if he plays hurt or healthy - we will beat them into submission. Pitt will destroy them on Xmas too.

It is down to Buffalo, Pitt and Balt for the AFC crown.

I tend to think it's the Bills vs Eagles in the bowl.
