College Tape perhaps

too late to be looking at college tape---it's the kids 3rd FNL season.  every 1st round bust had great tape and "raw talent"

It was a response to "raw potential " as you know.

But I always go back to Coaching regardless.

Maybe he had the nerves today ?

Has he started before this week ?

I read FNL and and laughed for all the wrong reasons WEO

FNFL is what i saw somehow

the coaching has decided he shouldn't start many games.  this hasn't changed in 3 years.

the guy gets beaten off the line then grabs the jersey of the guy who beat him.  he's not in the SEC anymore...

I think Elam will be traded this offseason for a 5th round pick. I think Hyde will be asked to become a Safeties coach to work with Bishop & Cine.  Hamlin will be the first safety replaced next season.

More like a hot dog and a Pepsi

Spending a second rounder on a safety is already bad but desperately needing safety help right away, I can grin and bear it.

That safety being nowhere close is just brutal.

I confess I was pretty happy with the pick. I am shocked at how far off ready he looks mentally. I know he missed camp and that is tough for a rook but he was a good college player, he is a second round pick, at some point you just gotta get out there and play up to it.

He's really struggling to adjust to the speed he's seeing out there; it does not look like Utah.

I think he'll get the timing and angles down eventually but it's an adventure right now.

I hope he plays 60:00 next week too; the more the better.

Plus the Bills can then play coy about who's starting the first playoff game.

Yea to be clear I am not calling him a bust at this point. But I am writing off any chance he makes a meaningful impact this year. Give him another start next week with the backups, then make sure he is fully healthy for OTAs and start at ground zero install as if he just walked on campus.

I agree, but I give pretty much every rookie a first season pass.  I think Bishop's playing better, but not what I expected.  I was interested to see him in the second half today turning around and asking Rapp presnap what to do. I mean, it's a good thing he's asking, but at this point in the season I would have expected him to be beyond those questions.

If he isn't starting next season, I'll be disappointed.

To his credit the coaching has decided he shouldn't start many games because we have Benford and Douglas.  If the decision was between Levi Wallace and Elam I think he'd have made it onto the field by now.

He's not better than Levi yet.

Of course, you could also point out that last year given the option of starting Elam or burning draft capital to acquire a starter once Tre White went down, they determined that it's better to spend extra on someone else rather than allow him to start.

At this point his competition isn't so much Benford and Douglas. It's Ingram. And Ingram adds to the special teams where Elam doesn't as much.
